why do sm stylists always have a boner for ugly hair?

another sm comeback, another chance for sm to ruin yet another idol's beautiful hair. case on point: seulgi.

 

 

she's still gorgeous, of course, and this speaks volumes about how strong her visuals are, considering how hard the stylist went in on her. the cheeto colour is one thing, but when, oh when will their boner for those horrendous curled bangs settle down? I have literally never seen them look good on any face shape or ratio. the only thing they do is make your face look weird and puffed up. 

 

they've been doing this since forever too. six years later I'm still recovering from how hard they botched hyoyeon's oh hair

 

 

and just when I thought I could at least console myself with the thought that it was just for that photoshoot and seulgi's hair is safe now, they hit me with that weekly idol teaser. looks like she's gonna promote like that haha 

 

sm why? have you no love for your idols left? I've seen you style her so much better in the past so I know it's possible. why you gotta clock her from the back like this now? pls pls pls let those tragic curled bangs die.. the world has seen enough of them for a thousand years over
