Ronnie Mars 2,142
Isn't that what people call being "politically correct"? Do correct me if I'm wrong.
Ziggyly 1,479
I think different people relate to different issues at different intensity, so there's never a wrong or right opinion. But because of that we've to always tread lightly and be sensitive and that can kill the fun
Brittany 8,837
Accurate. Although I immediately know that I'm being irrational when I come up with sexist self-interpretations over little things. Say, I can't help but interpret it in that way (''That's sexist'') out of instinct, but at the same time, I know that I'm being illogical and that this state is only a temporary phase. I just need to rid myself of these sites.
A random user 6,763
Isn't that what people call being "politically correct"? Do correct me if I'm wrong. I think is on the borderline of being "politically correct" or a "social justice warrior". But in this case probably the mini comic is on "politically correct" side since at the end she laments that can't enjoy those thing as she used to. But that is just my analysis. bottomluhan 6,162
yes lmao certain things are problematic, but when you freak out over the smallest things, it makes me judge you
night vale. 8,071
There used to be an article called "how to be a fan of problematic things" or something that was interesting. Basically, you will always be a fan of something offensive. Acknowledge it and continue to enjoy it, even if others have an issue regarding said thing. If you got depressed and stopped liking everything that was problematic, you'd be stuck in your room sleeping all day.

But in this case probably the mini comic is on "politically correct" side since at the end she laments that can't enjoy those thing as she used to. But that is just my analysis. I think we're both on the same page here. From my analysis, the comic is about being politically correct. But in my opinion, being politically correct isn't always correct. And I have to agree with the following comment: [...] If you got depressed and stopped liking everything that was problematic, you'd be stuck in your room sleeping all day. Because basically almost everything is problematic, depending on how you see it. Even sleeping in your room all day can be problematic, too. But I understand why being politically correct is such a thing for a lot of people. I think it's mainly because people are afraid of being branded a hypocrite when they enjoy and like things they find problematic. And I'm not saying I'm rooting for people like these, but I just find it interesting to see the length people go to in order to avoid public backlash. And I think being a SJW is also a product of the very same phenomenon.

Wonsungideuri 448
I can relate to this, I feel like I'm more sensitive to this kind of thing nowadays (especially sexism since I'm female). When I was younger I wouldn't have been able to recognize those things as easily. But there are some things (like misogynistic lyrics) that I'm glad I recognize now because now I know that things like that aren't right, instead of being affected by them and not knowing they were wrong.
