Well where I live the party and president were also busted for corruption, they destroyed he proves and they are still on power so I'm not surprised by the situation in Brazil. Politicians all suck.


 


I'm not really sure what's happening in Brazil. I read Dimma isn't President no more and that the subtitute will be until it finishes her run in 2019.

I think OP is refering to the fact that Dilma was from the "left" aka liberal and after all these mess and scandals the power and government will end in the "right" aka conservative hands.

On another note though, I don't watch the news nearly enough. What exactly is happening in Brazil?

Dilma, the elected president, lost her mandate in an impeachment process. The thing is it was never open to public voting but only to other politicians. By now we don't know exactly our future but who assumed Dilma's place is Michel Temer, the vice (now ex-vice), who "out of nowhere" turned against Dilma a bit before the impeachment process to be open like a sheep and his provisory mandate past months weren't convincing. Well, in sum, it was to change the dirty for the bad cleaned, as we say here.
