It would allow you to change the first post and add/edit info as things change. Just let me know if you are interested now or in the future. A mod needs you to make a blank post in the thread, and then she/he will transfer it to become the OP. kay 4,312 Posted August 28, 2016 Share Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) Within the context of fashion in general, I find SHINee's stage style to be very ill-fitting, cringeworthy, etc. etc. Within the context of SM & their weird need to dress their idols in outfits straight off the runway in an effort to be "contemporary" and "artistic", I can understand why they dress the way they do. The issue is that it seems like all the stylists who work for SM somehow missed fashion 101: no matter how pretty or fashionable something is, if it doesn't match your body type its going to look shitty on you. Anyway, point being, in all of these years I have never found SHINee's stylists to be anywhere near competent, with the exception of extremely rare occasions when they all looked well-dressed. So, even if Key's fashion sense is in its infancy imo, and even if he often makes very strange and cringeworthy fashion choices, Im not sure any fans have the right to complain considering shinee's past. And furthermore, the outfits he has designed for shinee so far have been pretty well received. Plus Odd's styling started a trend so really, I think he is doing quite well for himself. Edit: what I hope Key learns going forward, using the example of Odd styling: I actually really loved the concept of the Odd styling, I liked why he chose to style them that way and I liked the feeling that the Odd styling gave off. I thought it fit very well with View. However, again, just because a piece of clothing matches a concept or was a popular part of the era you are getting your inspiration from, does not mean that piece of clothing will look nice on your body. There were some View outfits (particularly Minho's/Key's/Jonghyun's) that I REALLY liked, and some (usually Onew's & sometimes Taemin's) that I REALLY disliked So yeah, I really hope he learns from his past mistakes and doesn't get stuck in the SM stylists mindset of "its fashionable so lets wear it" Edited August 28, 2016 by kay 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you check it out, you'll see that I added a bit more info, which I'm slowly going to add to over time. I was thinking I would replace the starred words in blue with banners with text that says the same thing I have written, but I wasn't sure what to do as far as a design. I want something that makes you think of Key. If it was up to me we would have something somber, b&w and completely not Key lol. So yeah, what do you guys think? Any ideas? You need to get rid of the text, and replace it with a large and good pic of him at the top, with those basic bits of info (name, bday etc) written on the pic itself. It looks cleaner. And then you need a small banner like this for example for each category of things (relevant fancams, tv appearances, fansites, social media etc) lol yeah thats essentially what I'm going to do. Ive already asked someone in the studio section to do the work for me. My question was more about which color scheme I should use. kay 4,312 Posted September 8, 2016 Share Posted September 8, 2016 Another interesting thing to add is a collection of quotes about Kibum, from the different members of SHINee and other people too, about Kibum, and arrange them in a pretty way the second one is simple but see how they have icons on the from, you can put an icon of the person. Or any other design, i just found those two on google I like this idea a lot. I was actually looking at the other members' threads for ideas and Taemin's OP has something like this. There are quotes from Taemin on the banners themselves. I don't even care tbh, Im just glad Key is getting some exposure. If this is the path he wants to continue on, I hope the good reviews for him lead to better dramas. SM better not stick him in another bad/SM produced drama after this... Im secretly hoping for another small/supporting role in the next Reply series can you guys imagine?? kay 4,312 Posted September 21, 2016 Share Posted September 21, 2016 I never had any hopes for the ratings because it's on cable, and truthfully, if cable is gonna offer him better quality writing then I'm all for it , he has plenty of time to work his way up into bigger roles/public broadcast channels. I wouldn't want a repeat of Jinki getting bashed for a badly written character on a badly written drama, it's not worth it in the long run i don't understand how Onew and/or his staff didn't read the script beforehand and realize just how insufferable and unlikable his character/storyline was...does quality mean nothing to them?? kay 4,312 Posted September 21, 2016 Share Posted September 21, 2016 (edited) The saddest part for me was, his character had potential, I started the show thinking "what a dorky brat, he needs to grow up, i'm sure he will" and ended up thinking "I honestly want his wife to kick him to the moon and back, he never got his head out of his ass" and no amount of funny/cute moments can make me forget how insufferably immature Chihoon was. I'm really liking fictional Kim Kibum, his brattiness is endearing, and he's full of love to give, and to be fair the tone of the series is more lighthearted, but as a character making an impression on the public, Kibum is someone you can relate to Thats essentially how it was for me as well. I was excited for DotS in the beginning and Onew started off doing so well. And then it just became more and more ridiculous each episode. When he ignored all of his wife's phone calls, all hope of redeeming his character was lost imo. I seriously cant comprehend the scriptwriters logic -__- I really hope Onew makes the decision about his next role more carefully (assuming he wants to continue acting...im still desperately hoping he gives up on that and focuses on music ) Edited September 21, 2016 by kay Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
