Personally, i feel like really weird. Not only i have 1 month more of vacation but because i finished school and i am moving to a new place and new stuff to learn it is making me quite nervous. Its not school anymore, its hotel management studies so i am really nervous.

I feel like this is a new step in life.

You guys, how are you feeling? Do you feel any different than before? Do you feel kind of odd?

edit: its college but i am also staying at home (they exist in greece) and you can wake up home and just go there for a few hours ( it starts in October)

With high school, although it was stressful, I still knew exactly what I was going to do every day. Wake up, get dressed, go to school, come home and repeat. But now there is just nothing, I sit wondering what is going to happen to me. I mean yes, I got into a very good college but what am I going to study? who are my new friends going to be? What if I drop out? How will I get a job?

I moving into my dorm on Thursday and classes begin the following Tuesday.

I feel nervous and scared.

Oh wow. For me, its not a dorm but still home. I dont know if it will still be like school or not, i have no idea what i am going to find. Its in the beggining of October for us.

Its hotel management but still, i will even start German language ,whoah!.

Will it be like school? .-. I have no idea. It will be fewer hours but... I want to be more hardworking this year, and next summer ill be mostly doing practice at Hotels (which i have NEVER done) and this is really making me nervous.

I'm feeling down.. just like you I'm scared af. I'm gonna live alone in a lost place, I don't know anyone there.

Plus I will attend an engineering school, students there are really smart. I feel like I will appear as stupid/uncultivated if I'm put next to them.

AAAH I really need to be more confident, classes start on Friday but I will move on Thursday  :rlytearpls:  :rlytearpls:

I feel like I can finally breathe. There's going to be a lot of responsibility that comes with starting college I'm sure but I'm really more excited than anything else

for me, its not dorms, i still live at house but there will be new courses and i will have to work at hotels next year.

Should i be scared? I am also going to learn a new language.

Who knows what will happen....

yes I start a new job too! it's okay and natural to feel nervous. I think deep down we all are a bit but it will be a great stepping stone in your life.

I'm learning a new language too! good luck  :)

Idk.. because it's not a uni, it's a school so they only take the ones who have good grades  :._.:

I wanna believe you though.

i paid to go to this, because its a private. There are public too but they usualy rely on grades.

We have a different system here in Greece, you give some special final exams each year and they gather points and its REALLY REALLY confidential, even police involved.

But from this year and on these exams are stopping!!!! Literally, afterall these years they decided to cut them !!!

I'm graduating this year and reading this thread you people make me want to just do high school again instead of going to college

This^

High school was so much more fun for me, compared to college. In fact, I wish I could re-live my high school all over again

ah private schools are the easiest ones to attend but you need to have money lol that's why I went to a public one

you gather points from the final exams? this is what happens in France as well. but why did they cut them in Greece? how are you guys going to be evaluated?

this is really new though, i have no idea. I finished school , maybe they will examin them in everything from the orientation classes and the other ones that are mandatory for all (despite orientation)

I am a bit worried about them because i still have friends who attend school xD

oh I see. that can be good, that means you won't have to study ALL the subjects/lessons few weeks before the final exams :)
