Yes she has said she'd like a career in America but she's never specified if was as a solo singer, part of SNSD (which she will eventually get a shot at) or some other type of career like tv or something. And anyway, all of the girls have expressed some kind of post SNSD career so it's no problem. She said very explicitly in one of her recent photoshoot interviews that she'd want to try as a solo singer. But in another of her photoshoot interviews she was being a bit more humble and realistic and said something along the lines of how she'd like to try taking on an acting role or making a solo album if she got a good opportunity for that. It's because so many kpop-fans are fucking dumb in their heads because they've been taught by their idiot fan girl sunbaes from HOT and DBSK. You know, the types that go: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHH we are the raging fangirls and we demand that our oppars do nothing but perform free events as a full group for us fangirls every day." And then 5 years later they go: "AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGH what how can it be that oppars are both tired and have no money just because they've been performing for free for us every day?" Any sane person understands that the members of the groups need to be given room to do individual activities that they want to do, both because they have individual dreams that they want to accomplish and because they want to do activities that bring in money.
