This picture gives me so much feels, it was autumn 2009 and good ol' Dara unnie took Chaerin for a bike lesson. This is the caption of the photo Dara posted on me2day back then, 5 years ago. Dara: Today, CL learns to ride a bike!!! I don’t know why she tried to escape..ã…‹ She wants a boyfriend to teach her but..she’s been waiting 5 yearsã…‹ Dara’s coaching will lead to a solo attempt!!! I'm asking because I'm scared it might be true. :'( IMO, total BS. That article on kpopstarz is pure speculation and they have a track record of going after 2ne1 (to bring more readers). They were just fine before that on the last YG family concert, and that was after CL's US debut announcement. When the news of CL's US debut broke, most likely the girls had already talked about that, their forced absence from the Korean scene, and the implications for the group and each member's activities. It was Dara who planned her PH birthday party and I think that's a step of her new career focus. I expect she'll get into acting. Minzy will continue with her studies, and let's hope she gets she fights for her solo single. Bom will have to "reflect", so I don't expect to see much of her. Dara knows how much a hiatus can hurt 2ne1. So by putting herself out there (more activities, more presence), she's not only promoting herself or "preparing for life after 2ne1" as some say, but actually trying, as she did in the long past hiatus through social media, to keep the fans interested. Someone reminded me that it was Dara who helped CL create a Twitter account and showed her how to use it, which would help her in her US advancement. Once CL actually debuts, I'm sure you'll see Dara's usual support as her friend, colleague and most devoted fan. That should put any rumors to rest and reassure the fans.
