for kpop i'd recommend tvxq and solo stuff from jaejoong and junsu (you'll never be bored, their discography is ridiculously big), vixx and 9 muses. if you're into jrock/pop i would check out miyavi from like 2012 to the present.

shinhwa is also amazing!

Exile, E-Girls, Sandaime J Soul Brothers, Generations Exile - if you're into more urban J-pop

I really rnjoyed E-girls. I feel like I saw them a few years ago when I was just getting into K-pop, but now I am trying to get into J-pop so thanks :)

I don't see AOA, F(x), 9Muses, Hello Venus & Girls Day on your list :)

I totally forgot all of those groups. I have been working hard today so I am tired. I love all of those groups. Red Velvet too.

I need to give Monsta X a chance. I love their song All in but Hero, I can't get into it. I think I have heard it too much recently and need to give it a chance in a couple months again :)

NCT

I like their song without you, but the other songs are too rappy for my tastes, the boys are very talented dancers though.

Winner!

9 muses is amazing, another group I forgot to add to my list...my level of needing sleep is high, but being on here is so much fun. I will have to check out jaejoon and junsu (dumb question, but are they a duo or two seperate artists?

I have been meaning to check out shinhwa for months, I just don't know where to start since they have a long discography. What is your favorite(s) of their music?

AAA and Weaver from the Japanese end of things

ooh these both look interesting. I like the calmer music. Sometimes its nice to not have all my songs be poppy and bouncy. Slower songs are great for night time or slower paced times :)

listen to crayon pop

trust me

Another group I forgot, I love so much of their stuff. fm is super catchy. Now I am thinking of another group, oh yeah orange caramel. they are kind of similar to me for some reason.

SPICA's comeback is golden. I have seen tidbits of their music and wrote them off, but I shouldn't have done that, these girls are talented and very underrated.

Maybe you will like After School's music. They have some Japanese and Korean songs. Give these a listen if you have not heard them before:

oh boy, short version: jaejoong and junsu used to be part of tvxq. they along with yoochun left the group in a huge mess that's still ongoing to form jyj. personally, i like jae and junsu's solo work better than the group itself. they are both separate solo artists AND are also part of jyj. i have soooooo many songs from the two of them, especially junsu so if you like some of his stuff when you start to search totally feel free to pm me. he's wonderful.  :rlytearpls:

IM SO GLAD YOU LIKE 9MUSES THOUGH!!!!

and shinhwa, omg there are so many i like now. some of their stuff sounds very 90s boy band like nsync or the backstreet boys (since they did debut in late 90s im pretty sure) but i started with these and fell in LOVE. let me know if you like them!

Does Junsu sing the song Rock the World that came out earlier this summer? I feel like I have definitely heard some JYJ stuff in my KPOP journey. OMG Shinhwa is amazing. I am loving these tracks. Aren't they having a comeback later this year? Did I read that correctly somewhere or was it a dream?

YES!!!!! junsu's songs are SUPER versatile as well. he tries out A LOT of different genres and mixes them together. super artistic sometimes which makes for some crazy mvs. personally i'm really digging his songs incredible, flp and break my heart along with rock the world at the moment. but he is so fabulous and an AMAZING dancer! def check him out.

and shinhwa IS coming back this year, october i'm pretty sure. i'm so excited!!! i'm so glad you liked them they really don't get enough credit these days for the super awesome songs they put out. plus their choreo is pretty interesting as well and like, they're all in their 30s i think they are doing pretty damn good.

If you are into Crayon Pop and Orange Caramel, give Cocosori a shot.  They only have a couple of singles "Dark Circle" and "Exquisite" but both are fun and the girls (a duo) are adorable.  Definitely a Jpop vibe to them.

On the relatively unknown side - Unicorn (I love their most recent album) and Matilda may be worth a listen.  If you decide to check out Unicorn, look for their Blink Blink video but go for the Dance version.  It's better than the original MV in my opinion.

Rainbow is a senior girl group that is still together with the original members since their debut.  Some of their b-side tracks are good enough to have been single tracks  "Cosmic Girl" is one of those.

Sonamoo is worth a listen.  If you like more of a rap style, their older work like "deja vu" is good.  If you like more of the lighter girl crush style, try "I Like U Too Much".
