Just got my first downvote(s) today. -9!! I was like whaaaat. It made me feel so bad. and I've been contemplating going back and editing my post, but I'm not sure. I was being too open and said something really stupid so I got 5 downvotes, the biggest amount I got so far (I think). The first few downvote hurts but you'll get used to it haha. And I don't mind negs much, though admittedly sometimes one can be negged on the most silly comments and it gets me like ???. Anyway, I say what I want without being purposely rude, if someone doesn't like it they can neg, is not like it's going to affect my rep at this point anyway.
