I desperately need to stop eating candy because of health reasons but I live with two friends and they buy a shit ton of chocolate, ice cream and other candies and I always fail on not eating

Do you have any tips?

ask your roommates to keep that stuff in their rooms so you'll be less likely to eat it

find substitutes to satisfy cravings

if your cravings get extreme, leave the house for a few minutes if you can. take a walk around the block or something

honestly, the hardest part of kicking a craving is at the start. your body will crave it but if you don't give in, it will go away eventually. you just have to discipline yourself a lot at the start lol

Stop stealing your flatmates' food then  :soul:

I used to stay with 3 other girls who're super picky about eating so they only buy fresh produce and all that healthy shit. They end up stealing/eating my snacks all the time and leaving their fruits and vegs to rot at the back of the fridge. Like have you ever seen a bag of carrots that's so rotten, it's turned into liquid/mush??? I get so angry thinking about it ughasdljdfskg

I used to buy a large box of fruit snacks from Costco and finish the entire thing in one week. It was an addiction. I couldn't function.

When I took a bite of real fruit, I knew it still tasted good, but it felt watery and "off" compared to the candy. I couldn't even enjoy real fruit anymore. I vowed to stop buying fruit snacks and eventually had to wean myself off because I couldn't control myself.

read things about how bad candy/chocolate is to your health. diabetes and more stuff like that. then start reading about the ingredients of the candy. do some reading about how bad that chemical is. Also read about how "made from real fruit" it is. Read about the company that produces the candy and its questionable ingredient on how they defend themselves. I read Betty crocker's candies because i was so addicted to their candy and to my surprise they use a lot of chemicals in their candies. AVOID Maltodextrin at all cost.

let me know if it helped
