When you have blinded fans. Ofcourse success is guaranteed.

Tho that 2ne1 reference was unnecessary, I'm glad they failed. Failed as in you peoples dictionary. Makes me even more proud being a blackjack.

but to me, BIGBANG's recent songs are trash. same could be said to SNSD. I think the majority of us here agrees to this.

The only thing that makes this groups successful till now are the fact that they have a huge loyal followers since their debut

.... which 2NE1 obviously lacks because of how bad they are being promoted.

Don't get me wrong. DYLM and FIL are shitty to me too compared to their past releases. Missing You is could be a snore fest.

seems like it, they do have huge fanbases. maybe super junior too?

and i don't think 2ne1's previous two songs not doing well had to do so much with change in music styles but with the baddest female compared to the likes of don't cry and lonely.

I think it's far, far simpler than that. Style plays only a small role in it.

For the majority of people it's simply like this: if lots of people like a song/MV, you'll see it in the (digital) sales results and the YT views (if the majority don't think a song/MV is catchy or addictive, they won't revisit after the 1st time).

If only a few people like a song/MV, you'll see it too in the sales figures and YT views, esp when compared with other songs of the same group.

So, a majority of people liked SNSD's IGAB, BB's Fantastic Baby, GD's Crooked, EXO's Growl and 2NE1's Missing You while far less people liked CL's TBF or 2NE1's DYLM.

It's really that simple for the majority of people.

2ne1 this year was kind of promoted like f(x) lol

2NE1 had 3 comebacks, added to that CL's solo debut and Bom/Lee Hi's duet. They were even a lot more in shows than with former comebacks.

That's more than a lot of other top groups had this year in terms of promotion and presence (comebacks) in SK.

2NE1 wanted to do a feminine comeback this time around but it didn't go so well as there past comeback because of just a simple fact.

They had a powerful image as a group who did things a little bit different and whit these comeback they just did as all the other groups did feminine and stuff.

I loved there comebacks while most didn't esp. DYLM whit that M/V tied to it, it felled really more closer to it then there high value production type of M/Vs

You can't really use that though. There are alot of exceptions to that "rule". Gangnam Style and Gentlemen are examples. High digitals and high Youtube views doesn't necessarily mean that most people liked it.

Just because they had more comebacks doesn't mean they were promoted well. YG promoted them horribly this year, and used too much mediaplay that turned people off.
