city life vs country life :3

I used to want to grow up and live on a farm, but not really anymore. I enjoy the city life - and I want to travel the world's cities one day.

Furthermore, I have a bit of fear when it comes to country side places because I'm a minority. I really really don't want to go to the South in America because I have a fear of the possible racism. Perhaps it's the media, and I know the it exists in some parts of the north too, but I avoid going south

I live in the country, but work in the city. It's annoying to have to drive 10 minutes to a grocery store, but that city traffic is just as annoying. Neither is perfect, but I do prefer the city.

I was waiting for someone to bring up this topic. Mom and Dad always fight over that. Like, serious fights.

I live in the countryside and I enjoy it. I like that it's quiet and healthy and overall fits my personality more. I'd like my kids to grow up at the countryside too.

But I don't want to live in the countryside forever, I want to get married and move in the city. I am a girl, so living in the countryside as a married woman means there is a lot, I mean, A LOT to do. A city woman has to mind her job, clean the house and cook, it's hard enough like that. Imagine how on top of that, if you live in the countryside, you should have a vegetable garden, animals, corn plantation, grape vine to take care of. At least that's what my Mom has to deal with every year. And she's mostly doing it alone because Dad is just helping here and there. He says countryside life is awesome and encouraging me to stay there, but that's because he isn't doing even a quarter of the work Mom does.

Other than that, in the countryside there aren't many legit work places. Village schools are sub-par, if you want your kids to have a good education you should let them attend town schools. That means they'll have to commute from a young age or live in boarding schools like I did. In other more developed countries probably countryside life is different, but that's how it is in mine.

Also, there is absolutely nothing entertaining going on here. While my town friends are going to the pool, to the movies, to concerts, to cafes to kills time, I am here...spending my time on OH because there is nothing to do in this small village.
