I can see if hes in college working on improving...ok i get it.

But why date a guy who has no money and no intention of making any?

Ya love is great.

But dont you want your kids to go to the best schools and have the best,

Dont you want to have a nice home, travel etc?

By getting knocked up by a broke guy youre essentially making the concious

Decision to be poor.....idgi

If youre going to be poor and miserable you might as well stay single and childless.

OP, what if your own child was dating a poor person? Would you really forbid them from dating each other like those mothers do in asian dramas?

i would not be accepting of it unless the guy was trying to improve himself.

If hes just some slacker whos content with working at mcdonalds all his life...no just no, im not having having that.

My momma married my dad when he was dirt poor and couldn't even afford movie tickets. They struggled for years and supported each other all the way through.

Eventually he bought her dresses, diamond rings, pearl necklaces, a house and stellar education for all her kids 20 years later.

Marry the man, not the money. It's the person that counts.

Because love doesnt choose between economical classes.  This type of thinking is exactly why societies around the world have lost true meaning of life and only chase after the dollar sign.  If they have love they can work through being poor and strive together to make money which would be much more fulfilling than marrying someone for their money without loving them.

Of course its possible, but I was referring to people who marry their partners out of money alone and not love.

That's true..

I suppose dating a really poor guy who doesn't want to improve at all means that the girl doesn't mind living on the poor side. Maybe he gives her other things like companionship and laughter to fulfill the relationship. Not all people in the world prioritizes money, although its a great bonus if you have it.
