nadiaj0y 261
so..many of us aren't really feeling CL's music but who do you think could make it in America honestly? I think Jessi have the strong potential for obvious reasons and she doesn't feel like a tryhard (a little shade here, sorry CL lol). what are your opinions? I'd say maybe Ailee too, but she's not active lately so I don't know about that. this thread is not intended to bash or anything, I just want to know y'all opinions. die pony die 3,866
as a singer she wouldn't "make it" big but she wouldn't be seen as embarrassing and fake and she could make a few fans but as a rapper hell no
ToriTore 619
Maybe Jessi? Probably no asia male native rapper or any other. But, even Jessie would have immense difficulty

jsa 1,139
If she'd manage to land a HUGE featuring on someone's track and then afterwards release a single she'd have a small chance of doing OK.

Ailee should be able to, if the US listening market was more open to singers that weren't white or black. She's quite talented and doesn't have to worry about learning the language seeing as she's native speaker. I think she could do rather well if she was given the opportunity. Some problems that might come up for Ailee in America that people have brought up is she's not bringing anything new to the table. I remember someone once wrote, Ailee is referred to as Korea's Beyonce, but why would America want the Korean Beyonce when they have the real Beyonce. The music she's doing now won't help her I still think it would be cool if she tried
YNRA 1,082
jessi is kind of old and her rapping honestly that good to really make it in america. her personality isnt the type that gets heads turning in america. only in korea would her personality stand out because every west coast asian girl acts just like jessi

I do think she'd have the best chance of success, though, if she got with the right people. She definitely has the talent to do well.
