Who are some idols that sound awesome in studio versions, but horrible live?

I honestly can't think of any idols that sound horrible live. Most of them sound decent or even better than studio (i.e Dean, Taeyeon, SHINee, TVXQ)

that's not true tho? his lives are usually pretty stable, just because he messed it up in Monster doesn't make it a generality? Also his lines in Monster were pretty high pitched, where do you hear a deep voice there? When he actually sings lines which are adapted to his range (in other exo songs) he is okay

i've listened to a lot of fancam of him and he always sings his lines fine, he really doesn't deserve to be mention in this thread

Yeah, he usually carried his lines just fine, that's why I've always thought he is much better than Sehun (but Sehun is carring his rap lines lately too), it's that SM pushed him too much in Monster and it really showcased his weaknesses.

hmmm you compare Sehun who raps and Jongin who sings. That's very different. Jongin's always been able to carry his rap lines when he was one of the rappers anyway?

He's capable to sing live and has proved it many times, he was praised last year for his stable singing. That doesn't make him an awesome singer of course, but when he's singing lines suitable for him he isn't horrible at all which is why he shouldn't be mentionned in this thread imo. Why judge his entire capacity over two bad lives?

I was comparing Sehun and Kai's singing and concluded Kai was much better. I mentioned Sehun's rapping because that's what he's doing now and he's decent at it, compared to the times he had to sing.

taemin! his voice sounds really attractive in studio ver but whenever he's singing live it sounds like he's literally dying... like i get it when he's dancing his ass off, but even when he's just sitting down his voice sounds all wobbly and thin, and he has no breath control
