College students! What's the difference between starting in fall term vs spring term?

I'm going to a community college nearby and classes are about to start next week. The thing is, I'm late for class registrations. I went on a month-long trip on a different country. And when I got back, the orientation dates were already done. :c

The next term would be on January so I'm kinda starting my first year in college late than my other peers.

Please help me  :rlytearpls:  I feel very lost

no different. Classes are the same.

HOWEVER, if you are starting in the spring as a FRESHMAN

The freshman experience is no longer there. You will not experience orientation, the large club fair offered in the beginning of the year, etc. But it's fine, you can experience that next year. Or if your are transferring.

At my college the only difference are Fall has more classes than the Spring does, and when it comes to higher level courses for degrees, the first class you need is offered only in fall with the 2nd class you need to take after it being offered in Spring, then the next class after that being offered in Fall and so on and so forth. All the basic stuff is offered each semester.

there's not that many difference. like someone said, some classes are two parts. for an example, my japanese class had the first part in fall semester and then the second part in spring semester, IF WE WANTED TO, we could take the second part. other than that...the only difference would be that you're one semester behind your peers but that shouldn't really matter. what really matters is you getting your education done. i mean i guess it matter before college but now that you're in college, go at your pace. there's no need to be caught up with your peers.

There's not much difference. It depends where you live and the college you're going to attend.

Fall semester is where everyone pretty much starts, so the event organized by Student Life are bigger than those during spring semester. Also certain classes might only be available during certain semester.  Fall semesters also feel shorter, at least to me due to a lot of the holidays that we have in September and during other months.
