i heard that LiYing is attending the Golden Eagle Festival (?) on her birthday. is the ceremony a prestigious one? and what is she nominated for?

 

She is nominated for Best Actress. It is prestigious, some people consider it China's Emmy. It is held every two years. Last time it was held , in 2014, Zhao Liying won the Golden Goddess award. I am really hoping she wins but she is going against Liu Tao, who also had some hits this past year. 

 

Nice compilation of her roles over the years. Up to Female Prime Minister in 2013, she just had multiple small roles in many dramas. She started acting in 2006. She really came a long way due to her own effort since she had no connections in the industry.

As far as I understand it is like an award given to a rising actress that they think will keep doing well in the future. All the past winners are big stars in China. Like Liu Yufei, Liu ShiShi, etc. 

 

Winning the Best Actress is a big honor, I am hoping ZLY wins it but it will be hard. Some insiders said that Liu Tao will probably win it. So I am just glad that she got nominated.

-ZLY said she auditioned for a different part in My New Fair Princess but didn't get that role bc she forgot her lines. The director gave her a second chance for a different part. This role was the one that opened the door for more opportunities. She also said that Luzhen was when she really started to enjoy acting. 

-She doesn't like when fans call her husband (?) Would prefer to be called Ying baby. 

-Some of her requirements in a guy are handsome, tall (more than 180cm), responsible. 

-She once again denied those dating rumors with that CEO. 

 

I think ZLY was really nervous, but the host was really nice to her and she was more comfortable by the end.

There was a weibo poll on which Golden Goddess they preferred and Zhao Liying won. I actually really like Tan Yang's dress but her ceremony was not as exciting as the others. Anyways they all looked super pretty.

no it is not only fan votes, there is a committee and they vote too. But fans think that if she doesn't get the Best Actress award, there is a chance she gets Most Popular Actress so that is why they have been voting a lot. I want her to win too. It would be so special and this is a very well respected award show.

• Li Ying was on the talk show, The Jin Xing Show, a few weeks ago, and some snippets came out (haven’t watched full episode yet). I want to take this chance to translate some of her answers. Firstly, she confirmed that she’s still single and the rich CEO that paps showed pictures earlier this year was NOT her secret boyfriend. Now she’s afraid of standing next to any boys. Aww.  She said before, asking fans to trust only in her words. From now on, I will take heed.
