Adele has decided not to perform at next year’s Super Bowl Halftime show.

The performer was linked to the performance slot days ago  but has now revealed that she turned down the offer shortly after it was presented to her.

First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl. I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really… I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no. I’m sorry. Maybe next time, for my next album, because I’m going to do a dance album next time. So maybe I’ll do it then.

She shared the above with fans in Los Angeles during the latest showing of her latest concert tour after learning that news of her link to the show had surfaced.

Your thoughts?

The best decision. No one wants to see her there.

We need pop girls. We don't wat another mess like the Coldplay one.

EDIT: I don't like that she says "It's not about music". It sounds as she feels above others and that her craft is the only quality one. There is music for every occasion just because it's slow doesn't mean it's better.

Yeah, it's less about the music and more about how flashy it the performance is, and I don't really see Adele as flashy. I wonder who else they'll ask

I don't know. People have been wanting Britney for so long but I don't see her doing it, maybe a 10 years ago but not now although she's been lately doing better than ever in a long time. She seems in a better place.

J Lo said they offered to her and I think she would do well. Rihanna might do it if they offer it to her.

As for other acts that are well known to the public idk much about which male artist could do it. They aren't that flashy.

Britney for sure. Maybe a litttttle over 10 years ago lol I think J Lo would do well. And Rihanna would do well too, I hope she'd perform something for her Loud Era

That's so true about the male artists, I wouldn't even know who could fit the bill. Macklemore? Sam Smith (with disclosure)

Ew Macklemore is done. No one checks for him anymore and Sam Smith aka the male Adele?

I would say a band like Maroon 5 because they have really well known hits (s they could bring Xtina to sing MLJ with them; btw Xtina would do such a great job but her popularity isn't what it used to because she doesn't give a fuck about her career anymore). Twenty One Pilots would really get the crowd on their feet but they are too new. I was thinking of a rapper but we end in an Adele situation too no dance, only walking in the stage.
