It says this will be his "first concert" so I am pretty certain he will be having a tour, making Seoul his first stop out of many  :ahmagah:

If it's still in the early stage, takes around 2-3 months. Provided that he strictly watches his diet and uses his voice minimally. But take this with a grain of salt,i'm not really an expert.

 

If what I read is right since it's early stages it goes away very easily with total voice rest and therapy which Kyu has been doing. The thing is he is actually a very responsible vocalist, as showed by the fact that he stopped all his activities has soon has he heard about it, even if it meant not finishing the musical and RS, although he does over-work himself.

 

I don't think he will comeback and undo all of his efforts. So when he comes back let's hope that he knows what he is doing.

Hi everyone, since the OP of this thread is in indefinite hiatus and hasn't updated since 2014 I've asked for OP rights.

 

I plan on updating it over the next few weeks and maybe be prepared for a possible comeback :har:.

when do you guys think he'll come back? do you have any expectations hopes or wishes?

 

i personally think he'll comeback in november, or at least i hope he will considering there hasnt been much talk about him recording like with the first two albums. so im guessing he hasnt recorded or hasnt fisnished recording and the last thing i want for him is to have a rushed comeback. then there's also the fact he's recovering from nodules. all in all i estimate his comeback to be around mid-november.

 

personally i want him to stick to his signature smooth warm ballad sound for the title track, because i loved both atg and amp very much. i wouldnt mind it to be more of a power ballad like the days we felt the distance either.

 

for the album im hoping for slightly more variation. his first two albums have been very cohesive so im guessing hoping for an r&b track would be futile but i really really love how he sounds singing it so that would be my first wish. he could lose the piano forest/flying deep in the night (not fond of either) type of song to make place for a smooth r&b track. i definitely wouldnt mind a rap featuring since he mentioned it himself but idk how serious he was being.

 

r&b kyu just because

 

lastly im expecting/anticipating to hear more of his songwriting skills. ways to say goodbye was my favorite song off his 2nd album and imo quite an upgrade from my thoughts your memories so i hope he manages to outdo himself once more.

 

edit: i would also love for him to join at least one singing program during his promo cycle, provided that he's fully recovered of course.

 

I agree with the comeback period, I also think it will be around November like before.

 

This time I'm hoping he chooses more toward a power ballad tbh, not that I don't love AG and AMP, but he needs to change it up a bit while still keeping faithful to what he wants to sound like. something like Inoo  :rlytearpls:  although some R&B would be to kill for (Hot times anyone?)

 

I hope he goes to some music programs too, like Song festival duet, it would be epic.

Congrats on being the OP and the first page already looks great! As for suggestions maybe making his sns accounts linkable and also adding video links to his awards and nominations? Pretty much the same thing to his ost list too but that might be a bit difficult considering how long that list is :/

 

Thanks for the suggestions. That part is done and I'll keep adding stuff later I just did the bigger part. :chu:

 

EDIT: Also added a link on the tv section to TV/Radio/Web Appearances + Interviews etc. that has videos to every appearance from 2006 to late 2015.

oh also the notifications are still not working for me even with the leaves gone  :cry:

Just right click the notifications and open it on a new tab. Then delete all of them and the new ones will appear normally.

I don’t think that I posted here before, but I’ve been lurking for a year now, so I guess it’s time. I’m Lucy. I’ve been Kyu’s fan since Mamacita. I guess his aya-ya-ya really was impressive and I looooved his looks there. Actually, I became a SJ fan because of Mamacita MV. As a long time jpop fan I didn’t like kpop all that much (still stan only SJ), but drama version of the MV and Kyu’s vocals made me change my mind. I loved AtG,  AMP and especially TDWFTD. I don’t mind ballads and trust Kyu to comeback with an awesome song, but rapKyu is my weakness too. Oh and I am RS fan. I watched all the episodes with Kyu. I like the concept of the show and RS MC team. Nice to meet you all.

Well my turn then. Like I said my name is Lucia and I'll be 25 this year from Portugal.

I actually started liking Kyuhyun through dramas because I really wasn't interested in KPOP in the beginning. Then one day I decided to download some OST's and one of the folders was Kyuhyun's OST's. As soon as I heard his voice I knew that his voice was something else. Like any curious person I searched him on youtube and saw some solo stuff, I also found out about Super Junior and I never thought I would get into them because they were too many! But I watched Mr. Simple and Mamacita had just come out and well the rest is history I guess.

in other news, i was listening to naul's memory of the wind the other day and as usual when i listen to a good song or any song really i imagine kyuhyun singing it.

 

 

imagine something like this for his title track, i would lose it. :rlytearpls:  he could even lower the key since the chorus is like crazy high and would probably sound just as good a bit lower.

About the enlistment thing I am pretty sure Kyuhyun will go after group comeback. If the promised group comeback in 2017 does happen, I think Kyuhyun will participate. I don’t think SM and SJ would risk it and release an album with only one main vocalist. I guess they planned for Kang*n to be the second main vocalist during KyuWook enlistment but after his DUI it’s impossible. Everything changed after that. If SJ plans to continue as a group, they would need a grand comeback after hiatus and they would need all their popular members being present. However, I might be wrong and it’s only my wishful thinking . Time will tell. In addition, I don’t think that it’s purely for Kyuhyun to decide when to enlists. SM has the last word, so some ELFs should chill.

Actually I thought about that when I read about Teuk saying that the group would be complete in 2020. He slips a lot of future that only make sense later. I don't think he would mistake the date since they are propably also anticipating the end of enlistments.

I was thinking about the comeback of Hyo*shin and it came to my mind the fact that, truthfully and from a talent point of view not just bias, Kyuhyun, with the right song and some actual promotion, could cement his position as one of the best ballad singers in Korea.

Of course there is always the issue that he is an idol but he is starting to overcome that stigma. The other day I watched a video about who represents the Autumn season and the voice over said "singer Kyuhyun" not "idol / super junior Kyuhyun". That already means something. If he can take advantage of this momentum before gong to the military and come out with a serious bop then he is pretty much set for when he comeback after 2 years.

 

Let's cross our fingers, shall we?

This could potentially happen one day.  I feel like it did with G.O*.D.'s Kim Tae* Woo so I don't see why this can't happen with Kyuhyun.  It will take time though for people to stop talking about him as an idol.  However I do see the changes happening slowly but surely, people calling him "singer Kyuhyun" instead of "idol Kyuhyun".  To be honest, I think some people still don't know that he is a SJ member or even an idol.  I think he is still better known as RS MC in Korea at least (of course for international fans, he is better known for being a SJ member).

 

 

Yeah I know, I do still think though that he needs that extra recognition before the army so that people don't forget the fact that he is first a singer, and an amazing one, but not a one hit wonder. I know that AG will probably always be one of his most famous songs, he just need another and create his solo career step by step.
