Yeah, not a fave of mine but to be fair SS4 didn't go to Mexico or England so it's not like he's repeating a performance. Nevermind the fact that all of his fans have seen it from fancams already...

It's not surprising tbh since all of SJ seems to think that the Western fans want to hear them sing in English. And I guess it's kinda thoughtful of them and I'm sure some fans want it too but personally if I had to choose between How am I supposed to live without you and My all is in you, my choice would definitely be the latter. But well since Zhoumi won't be there I guess they'll get neither.

I can see why they choose to sing in English. Asian fans tend to love it when idols sing songs in their language, so they probably assume everyone's like that. I personally don't have a preference when it comes to what language they sing in. It all depends on the song and I can't say I'm satisfied with his Western song choices. But that's just me ofcourse.

Henry might be coming so they might still do some SJM, I think, I hope, I beg of them. It's odd how actually at this concert we have less members attending than in SNSD.  What if that was just a teaser and maybe half way through the song Kyuhyun rips of his jacket jumps up and plays rock harmonica, who knows. 

 

 

OTL I didn't even think about How am I supposed to live without you.. I'm interested to see how Mexico plays out, I'm pretty bummed, but I'm sure the boys will try to mix it up as well as they can. It'll be amazing either way sighs

131111 - Hilton Hotel & underground with Kangin & Kyuhyun

 

You guys wanted a fan account from yesterday. Here it is :D
It is probably going to be really long. A lot happened in the space of like 30 minutes. 

I went to the hotel at around 9:30am. Donghae & Eunhyuk had just left to make their MV.
I met another ELF so we sat in the lobby for a loooooong time waiting to see any members. There was only the two of us in the lobby so it wasn't as hectic as the other days.
It was around 11.50am & we still hadn't seen anybody. I went up to their floor and nothing was happening so I decided I'd leave.
When I came out of the lift there was a guy waiting at the door but when he saw it was me he just walked away xD
A woman came downstairs after him & we saw that they were together. She started waiting at the lift too. They had suitcases with them that had SMTown stickers on them so we knew it was Super Junior they were with. 
A few minutes later, one of SJ's managers comes out of a lift with 3 suitcases. Then KANGIN WALKS OUT BEHIND HIM. He was so handsome. The first thing we noticed was he was wearing Siwon's orange hat from the show xD

We were both so shocked that we didn't say anything. We stayed where we were & didn't say anything. Kangin walks over to us and says hello!! Thinking back on it, I don't actually know how he knew were were ELF. The shock on our faces probably gave it away. 

He walked off to the front desk with the manager after saying hello. He went outside & so did we. We didn't want to annoy him so we went straight back inside after I was finished on the phone. (I was late for my hotel check out so I needed my bags to be brought to the train station which worked out AMAZINGLY but I'll get to that after :P)

We went back over to the seats in front of the lift because we knew Kyuhyun would be down soon. Kangin came back inside a few minutes later, walked straight past his manager and the two people he was with, AND STOOD RIGHT BESIDE US AND SMILED! Seriously, the lobby in the Hilton is pretty huge. He could have easily ignored us but he came straight over. 

We decided since he was ok with us being there that we would ask him for a photograph. He didn't understand one word of English. He looked so confused when we were asking him. It was adorable. After a few seconds of showing him the camera, he finally understood what we were saying. He was coming closer (he was going to take the photo!!), looked at his manager, then started bowing and apologising. He couldn't take the photo with us (damn manager). We thanked him and said it was no problem. He continued to bow to each of us and say sorry. He was so sweet and polite. 

Then another lift opened. It was Kyuhyun. He had no make up on. That boy is so handsome. Seriously. I thought he might hide his face like he does in the airport but he walked right beside us no problem. He was singing to himself when he was walking through the lobby. Perfection T.T

Kangin then went over to Kyuhyun. They were checking out of the hotel. They were both very happy & joking with each other. 

We decided to stand outside and leave them to whatever they were doing. We stood a few steps away from the front door to give them some space. If you don't know the Hilton Hotel, the entire front is glass. We were only standing there a few seconds when Kangin walked straight over to where we were! There was only the glass between us. Seriously, that guy seemed happy to have some ELF there. He always stood beside us. 

I have no idea of who the guy with them was but Kangin was putting his arm around him, jumping and joking.

Then I noticed Mr (creepin') Cho Kyuhyun xD He was leaning against a pole directly across from us. [seriously, this guy is so damn good looking] He was staring over. I instantly turned into a shy 13 year old girl and put my head down haha. Eye contact with Cho Kyuhyun?? How can anyone survive that, seriously? I looked up again....HE WAS STILL LOOKING OVER. I looked straight back at him but he never broke eye contact. AHHHH this guy >.< So I just smiled and waved over. He continued looking. If I didn't faint at that time, I never will. 

Someone came into the hotel then, told their manager about Hyuk's twitter being hacked & she left. None of them seemed overly worried about it. I don't know if that is because they didn't understand her or they were already dealing with it! xD

They then came outside. We thought they were going to get into the car that was waiting but they walked past us & went around the front of Wembley stadium. Kangin smiled at us! Kyuhyun put out his hand to check if it was raining. I know that sounds like boring information but the way he did it was so freaking adorable. 

I thought that was the end of my Kyuhyun and Kangin experience. I was pretty damn happy with my morning but I needed to get to the train station so I let them walk ahead so it didn't seem like I was following them.

I was walking and soon caught up with them. I then realised that they were going to the train station too >.< I was happy but worried too that I looked like a total creep. Maybe it is my age but I didn't want the only impression Kyu & Kangin had of me to be a strange one :P


They were so adorable walking down the road. They were crossing the road and Kangin didn't notice a car. It stopped quickly and let him pass. He waved and bowed to the driver. This guy is seriously adorable. Kyuhyun was walking like he was the coolest thing on the planet. One hand in the pocket like a boss :P

There is a walk way just before you reach the steps into Wembley Park Station & there are different coloured lights on the roof. Kyuhyun stops walking, stood with his mouth wide open and stared at the lights like a little kid for a few seconds. They then went up the steps so I waited at the bottom for my family. Kyuhyun sang while walking up the steps!!! 
I went up a minute or two later. They were still standing there buying tickets *___*
There manager must speak English because he was talking at the help desk!?!

Kyuhyun was the last to go through. He giggled like a kid when he was putting his ticket in the machine. It was adorable. 

I waited until they left, convinced it was my last moment to see them. I went down to the platform....Kangin & Kyuhyun were at the bottom of the stairs *______*
On my way down the stairs Kangin was looking up, he laughed a little & nodded when he saw me *__* I'm sure I looked like a total creep...I was going to the airport for home...I swear haha. 

I was standing at the platform for what felt like forever. The train would arrive in 4 minutes. Longest time of my life xD I was standing beside Kangin & kept looking over *_* I don't know if he was checking if I was taking pictures or just amused at my ninja skills. Kyu was looking around like a little kid. 

Then the train arrived. Kyuhyun got in first and sat on his own. Kangin tripped over someones feet on his way in but he recovered pretty well hahaha. 

That is pretty much the end of my Kangin and Kyuhyun experience. I went to the airport for my flight. They went to Trafalgar Square before going to the airport. 

We kept our distance from them the whole time. We spoke to Kangin because he came over to us. It seems like being calm and relaxed is the way to go :P

Long story short - Kyuhyun and Kangin are adorable.

I used to be such a huge Kyuslut "one member stan" people probably got annoyed at me all the time lol. I would only watch variety shows if he was in it etc. And even though I've come to love SJ as a whole, I'm still very much Kyuhyun biased and I don't see that changing anytime soon. There was this thread asking whether you would still follow a group if your bias left and I can't positively say I would. I'd still listen to their songs, yes, but Kyuhyun is what keeps me here.

 

Just watched this, and I was very surprised on 5.38.

 

I dont know if he has done that before but this is my first time seeing him doing that note.

 

I think we can agree that during ss5 and even before Kyuhyun has slowly doing slight improvisation when he's singing his part esp in ballads and I really love that I think bcs he tried to expand his musicality and thats one of the way of doing it. That surely helps him to gain experience in adding ornaments in song and find what kind of ornaments suit his voice and it will be useful in his future ( in KRY or maybe as a solo ), so when I first saw this, I was kinda shocked and happy bcs 1) he's getting braver on exploring the notes. 2) that note was so fucking beautiful, I can only imagine how good that one when it resonates at the venue.

lol we're similar, the first year I became Kyuhyun's fan, I dont pay attention to anyone beside him, I dont even watch/listen to songs without him in it  ( the early SJ days ), for varieties, until today, I still havent watched EHB beside Kyuhyun's cuts, and I only watched Attack of Pin up boys just recently bcs my friend made me ( it was funny tho ). I'm really picky about variety, I seldom watch any variety of SJ without Kyuhyun. 

 

I've already seen it and had it downloaded lol, I love the song, I love when he sang chinese songs and I think it was the best performance he ever did with the song, so good and it was emotional esp near the end.

I have yet to watch Attack of the Pin up boys for the very reason I mentioned earlier. I do recommend you to wach all EHB episodes, top-shelf variety goodness tbh.

 

Yes and he also added that glorious belted note at around 5:00, just.. 

 

I seriously don't get how some ELF dislike a member because of their popularity and get into fights about it. I know a Yesung fan and she irrationally disliked Kyuhyun because she thought Yesung better at singing, and Kyuhyun was just popular and overrated because of his looks. -_-

I still haven't watched Attack of the Pinup boys and SJ's old variety shows like Adonis Camp because Kyuhyun's not there.  I kinda feel guilty though cuz i do love all of the members, it's just not as fun for me w/o Kyuhyun.  tbh I don't think i would have as much incentive to keep up with Suju's songs if Kyuhyun's voice wasn't in it.  Same with Ryeowook.  I still haven't listened to their first album.

 

I don't get why people still say KRY sing like 80% of SJ title songs.  Kyuwook got like 2 lines each in SPY and Donghae and Sungmin get at least as many.

I don't know a single Kyuhyun fan who mainly fell for his appearance. He's not unattractive, not at all, but his appearance is more of a bonus rather than the main thing. At least that's the way I see it.

 

And even if they do get more lines than the others, it is for a reason.  -_-

Then Kyuhyun started teasing Donghae, telling him that when he sings it he looks 미치ë„ë¡ (i.e. that he looks crazy). And then he [Donghae] had to sing Oppa Oppa! And he had to do the "oppa~ oppa~" moves. In the beginning he'd just smile and do it~ after Kyuhyun's teasing he started being much more self-conscious... oh dear now this is definitely going to be spread everywhere.

I heard that today at SS5 OSAKA got some fanacts say Kyu's voice is cracking today, he even lets Donghae sing one of his part. That makes me worry... I feel a bit underwhelming with today's concert. Not many things exciting happening, eunhae got new full album but my KRY , my Kyu is nowhere in sight. I feel so deprived TT.TT. please, december comes soon so I can see SJ on Korean stage...

I wouldn't get worried about that. He can't always be flawless. He probably just needs to rest and to stay off the alcohol.

Masquerade was a good vocal performance and it was nice to see Kyuhyun do rock but as far as the song goes, it's not really a masterpiece. Kyuhyun's singing is was made it great (along with Jungmo's guitar of course). Etude/Study of Memories is imo a really gorgeous song. And it was something he himself wanted to do and something he had a strong hand in bringing together for that epic performance.

 

I like them both and if I were to make a new compilation I would include both. But Study of Memories is more special to me. The one that gives me the chills.

 

EDIT: Oh and lol at that bit on Mamma Mia.

I totally agree with you on that. I do really love Maquerade and I've replayed it to bits, but Etude is more ~special~ to me and I'm also quite fond of Too Much.

this is what I meant by not doing this in the usual way, for me, he may be one of the most popular SJ member, but he doesnt act like other members or even like other popular idols, I can't really put it in words perfectly, but honestly, if he's just like any other male idols out there, I wont be stanning him, there's just something different, something about his personality and the way he can show multiple personas in front of camera ( witty, playful, but keep staying calm and mature ) and I think it's not only captivated us fans, I think it's somehow captivate people around him too ( based on some people's testimony about him )

 

 

I remember reading a post from someone who attended SS5 london, saying that "finally, I understand, why Kyuhyun is so popular. I didnt understand it before but after seeing him in SS5, i finally get it"

the writer of that post is obvioulsy an ELF so they must be familiar with Kyuhyun but never gotten around to like him but after seeing him in SS5, they saw something but the funny thing is, they didnt mention what it is that they've seen there that made them understand,  that's exactly like myself, for me, I have absolutely no reason to be a fan of Kyuhyun, his voice and his singing skills are top notch, but so does a lot of people out there, not just in Kpop but all over the world, second, I'm a guy and I dont get attracted with him, by his face or his body in any sexual way, like none, nothing, and let's face it, he's not that overly good looking anyway lol. 

 

I sometimes question, why the fuck am I stanning this person, and I can't find any answer beside I'm pulled to him by his personality or the way he bring himself in front of the camera.

 

Woah there mister. He's one hot mofo when styled properly. He has potential to look so much better if only they altered his hairstyle. Objectively speaking I'd put him right after Donghae and Siwon when it comes to appearance.

 

But I see what you mean. Except to me it's more of a combination of his singing (which is what got me into him) and his personality. My favorite voice atm, including Western singers.
