So math prof Kyu is happening which got me   because...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

     

 

 

But then I realized he'll probably show up wearing one of his uglier grandpa sweaters and shroomiest mushroom cut orz.

 

 

He wasn't too stellar with the first two shows though I do have to consider how high the standards for him are in the first place. But he didn't sound like he was at 100%; it didn't sound supported and he seemed kind of shaky throughout. He mixed up lyrics for At Close too, though IIRC he did that at the mini-concert too, lmao. The bit of change with AG was very well-done, though I'm not sure how planned it was. It sounded a bit uncontrolled and like he was losing good support on the note or something, so maybe he did decide to add the vibrato in. The little flair on 'happy' right after was really nice though, just like the bit of fun he had with 'Gwanghwamun' right after. The third show (second At Close live) sounded better and he got the lyrics right this time, lol.

 

I keep seeing people say this, but I didn't really hear the struggle in the ending part. Like to me he sounded tired up until that point. And afaik it takes less to hold a straight tone than it does to produce a proper vibrato, which can't really be forced anyway. I think he knew exactly what he was doing. Probably just decided to change it up a little for his last AtG stage.

As for next year's activities, I think it's pm confirmed that KRY is going to happen as soon as Yesung gets released from the army. But yeah, I'd like for him to continue releasing solo material as well. I imagine him getting more OST offers since his recent success, so maybe he'll make up for the huge ass OST-less period.

Looks like he dyed his hair a few shades lighter. He definitely works darker hair better. Although I did sorta dig this hair colour on him.

I think that's an old picture because just recently I have only been seeing Kyuhyun's pictures with darker hair colors. But I agree with you, he looks better with darker hair.

I know, I was referring to the Radio Star pictures. The one I posted was me showing which lighter shade i do think works for him.

ETA: it turns out that there might be a conflict with that countdown in China that SJ's planning to attend... So I don't know what's confirmed now or not. If there is a conflict, maybe he'd attend one or the other...idk if pre-recording is an option as well? 

 

If anything gets pre-recorded it's going to be the Gayo performance orz. I wanted him to participate in one of those special stages. 

 

So um apparently he wasn't even mentioned in the lineup articles.

And nope, he's not mentioned in any of them. I checked to see if he was and to check the reaction would be...to see if maybe he'd attend if they realized people wanted to see him there

 

 

I'll postulate this: SM wasn't planning on sending SJ to any of the gayos (consistent with their recent treatment of SJ re: MAMAs, GDAs, etc.) and so ended up planning to send them to the countdown in China. Then MBC went and invited Kyuhyun in the wake of his recent solo success. He's not listed as a member of SJ -- he's listed there in his own right as a soloist. But because of the countdown schedule...he might not be able to go?

 

Now I guess we're just stuck waiting to see what happens

SJ pre-recorded some of their Gayo stages before iirc.

Thanks for the explanation. It's difficult for me to tell lately because in non-mucore music shows, even after the first week, I don't really hear a backtrack, and recently when they do ballads in SS they turn down the backtrack. Plus sometimes Wook/other members sing live and everyone else lips.

 

Oh the days when sound systems were so bad that it was incredibly obvious whether or not groups were lip syncing

When they say she won a gold medal representing her country, they mean the team competition at the quadrennial Asian Games, this is her best routine from there.

 

The biggest domestic Chinese gymnastics meet, held every four years, she won the beam gold with some mistakes.

 

And the best performance of hers that I could find, on her best apparatus. At some unheard-of meet, idk the results.

 

 

 

 

His letter to her is the sweetest thing, heck they were being hella cute throughout GH. I imagine him being proud to have a fan like her considering how much he values hard work.

as for what you said about that performance, i don't know whether to be glad they don't always fake their emotions on stage or to judge them for the lack of professionalism which is something i usually judge them so hard for. however, despite all the unprofessionalism and lipsyncing, i can't help but enjoy all the hottness that comes with pissed off oppars, especially since it is a rare view

Thread, it’s really been a while

I should post here again more often T_T

 

Anyway I actually want to post my-so-called-review of Kyu’s musical The Days, yeah I know it kind of late since he already start the new one. but since i posted about his 2 previous musical so yeah here it is again

Just for mere info, this is actually not a new musical, if I’m not mistaken it is 3rd running. So, comparison can’t be avoided between the roles. IDK if they change something with the plot or character but I guess it must be getting better than previous running

 

In general the musical is nice, interesting setting and really good supporting character.

But truthfully it feels like lacking something ,that i unable to pinpoint. but i think it something related to the plot/the story. it's cliche triangle story with political background. It start nicely but after the love line start it somehow kind of draggy, also gives thrilling feeling to know how the mystery solved but it feels like watching drama. Too drama for my taste

this musical is using late Kim Kwang Seok songs, so kind of tribute musical(?). though the songs is nice there are many songs that doesn’t leave deep impression. Mostly forgettable tbh and sometimes didn’t go well with the scenes.

let say I don’t really like CMIYC musical but I truly enjoyed most of the songs.

Songs like ë‚˜ì˜ ë…¸ëž˜ (My Song) is fun, and 사랑했지만 like we all knowing it’s great.

The song of 3 lead actor, 너ì—게 (To You) also my fav.  some snippet here and there and that's it.

 

On a bright side, this musical has the best curtain call from all Kyu musical, it goes around 10 minutes i think. too bad even on Curtain Call it's still forbid to record T_T. the security is too strict this time.

i watched 3 shows with different lead actor, I love Yoo Jun Sang but Kyuhyun goes well with Lee Gun Myung the most. Maybe because the 2 leads supposed to be same age friend, and i just can't see it with Yoo Jun Sang. He still has the best voice between all Jeong Hak

overall it's good musical, not really mind blowing but better than SITR and CMIYC(yeah, I probably those minority who doesn’t like this musical)

 

 

For Kyuhyun, I’m actually satisfied with this role. Despite i’m not really into this musical I love his character. The way he act, the way he understand the character and how he enjoyed himself play as Mooyeong. it really showing how he loves this character and we as an audience so pleased to see it. He really did great job

 

He plays in like 5 musical and it's amazing how he come this far. kind of remember how awkward it was when he start in TTM, and look at him now enjoying himself on stage. so proud

in the future i hope he pick more nice musicals.

 

PS: idk if it’s because the lead actor was well known names in musical but the amount of non fans is increase with this musical. more musical fans or general public watch this one so I think  people start to aware his existence. you know the blissfulness from hearing random people "oh it's Kyuhyun...oh he sings well..he can sing"  that's feel reeeeally great.

 

Robin Hood start today, haven't decide when will i watch.

If people said it kind of like TTM, yeah..it's M musical after all. It surely will give same vibe.  and yaaayyy for Uhm Ki Joon to play in same stage with him after years sharing same role with him.

Hi thurrr~ it has indeed been a while. I love reading his musical reviews and I agree, even though I've only seen like 1 scene. I was just really impressed with his acting and singing and like the role he took on and I'm glad someone who actually watched the thing feels the same way.

 

About that, a few twitter friends of mine who went to watch his musical said the same thing. I'm thinking it has to do with his solo success.

 

Robin Hood seems nice enough. I mean I wasn't expecting something along the lines of TMETS, actually the only thing I really hoped for was a song a la Nightmare or Even Though I Loved and if I may believe fanaccounts then there is going to be a heart wrenching solo song.

According to a comment on Melon, Kyu's AtG has surpassed the number of likes that E*xo's Gro*wl has on Melon (Gro*wl is @105,067 likes and AtG is @105,332 likes currently).

 

I hope E*xo fans don't get offended somehow if they see this post - I mean their album sales are waaaayyy higher.

It's like at this point I just want him to have as much input in the process as he did for AtG so basically I want it to be what he wants and actually worked on himself and not just something SM put together for him. I too am not that interested in seeing him act as he clearly stated that he's not interested in dramas, but I can see why you guys would want him to. It's that one area he hasn't explored much and I'd like to see his full potential as well, but right now I just want him to focus on singing more. Like if he were to further fill his packed schedule I'd want it to be something singing related. Now that he's finally garnered attention for his singing, I wouldn't want it go to waste by not showing more of it thus making them lose interest. I'm gonna be slightly pissed if they don't put him on a music show or have him release OSTs or w/e once he's done with Robin Hood.
