9:38 still gets me squealing. Him during this whole episode was just.   This is btw the show that made me fall for him. Hard.

That show also made me a forever Kyu fan as well.   There was something about him on that show that just hit the right spot. Not only did he look handsome, and so cute with his shyness, but he sounded so good. I love the songs he sang. Once made a playlist with the trot songs he sang and listened to it over and over. I think his renditions are still my fav, especially shabang shabang and doong ji. He makes it so effortless. I was hoping he sang more trot songs after that, but alas no. I have a laundry list of things I want to hear. T_T

 

He once was somewhere...some show, and he said he can pretty much sing any song you throw at him, sort of like a Karaoke machine haha. He has such a memory for songs and lyrics. It's amazing. Did you guys watch 1000 song challenge with Kyu (with Yesung and Shindong)? Kyu sang a lot because he knew all the song lyrics lol.

Kyuhyun's always been really good with impromptu singing whether it be on TV or during fanmeets. It was one of the things that made me take notice. It requires a certain skill level and confidence to do that which imho sets him apart from his peers. His passion and depth of knowledge when it comes to songs and music styles in Korea and abroad goes way beyond the need to know basis kpop idols usually operate on.

 

So in celebration, here are three occasions of Kyuhyun singing on radio that are especially dear to me (I'm seriously bummed that he hasn't appeared on radio since idek when... I really thought that after Ryeowook took over Sukira he would be there every other week. Guess not.)

Probably my all time fave Kyu radio appearance and fave Kyu duet. They sound so good together and for once Kyuhyun's voice isn't drowning out his partner's. This really was the very definition of an impromptu, unrehearsed little performance. I'd love them to duet again some day.

 That Beige one is one of my fav Kyu duets ever. It's perfect. I seriously cannot express how much I love this duet. Their voices blend so so so well and one is not more prominent than another. Kyu is really good with duets because he tends not to try to over power his partner. I liked it when he asked the guitarist to slow down a bit. Pleaasse I want another duet...a proper one. 

 

That Why I Like You is also one of my favs and it's admirable how KyuWook are the ones who always seems to do the singing.

Someone mentioned Zhang Li Yin as his partner maybe?? Who knows. I think their voices would blend very well. I remember she sang the First Noel on SM's Christmas album a couple years ago. But that reminds me of this video where Kyu's name was brought up. It starts at about 3:18.

 

 

Interviewer read a comment saying they are hoping she can do a duet with Kyu and then she was asked to comment on his voice. She said:

 

Yes, he is really good at singing. 

I feel that his live singing is better compared to on the television, his voice is richer, and his vibrato is really strong.

I want to witness it for myself this difference.

Those are the clips I always find myself going back to. Why I Like You is my all time favorite SJ song too omg are you me? >.< Magic happens when KRY get an equal amount of adlibs and that Reset video shows that really well.

On that note, this is what choidings.tumblr said about this part.

Last time when John Park guested on RS, he said Kim Gukjin but now for him, the funniest person is Kyuhyun. His reason was because Kyuhyun has an image of a doll, with his big round eyes. But with that kind of image, Kyuhyun actually throws sharp comments to others and that’s what makes Kyuhyun funny to John Park. He also said that the way Kyuhyun laughs is also funny. 

 

That Heechul on Kyu's looks thing. TBH, maybe I'm just biased, but Kyu is actually handsome to me. I felt the same way before I knew anything about Super Junior. He had looks that I was attracted to on an objective level (in addition to his beautiful voice). His looks can almost be considered a bit foreign. I often see people remark on that. If I take a part his features. I can say his lips are attractive, his nose is attractive, his cheekbones is attractive, his eyelashes are attractive and altogether it's attractive... His eyes are normal although can be very round and very cute that way, but they are too close-set.

 

But they're talking about pretty, so there is a distinction between pretty and handsome I suppose. 

 

I do wish more fun tidbits were translated from Radio Star too, but alas...

What did they say about Mamma Mia? About which show he would decide? Or something else? I read translations that they talked about Mamma Mia and that it will air at about the same time and what Kyu would do, but other than that I don't know. 

 

Oh I was also informed that some people are saying that Kyu's scent is Bvlgari Aqua. I had to wonder if that was a male cologne at first lol. And it is. I'm really curious about his smell. Not that I think it is actually his smell for sure but, I'm going to go sniff this cologne lol. I hope that doesn't make me weird. I'm just really curious.

John Park was also  a semifinalist for American Idol, i forgot which season ^^ aaaah and he's same age as Kyu. though Kyuhyun consider himself as early 88.

he also said that the funniest MC on Radio Star now is Kyuhyun, and surprisingly with those cute image(round eyes, anime character and look like a doll) he actually can throw sharp comment. the cutest part is when Kyuhyun mention John Park's song "Falling" .

I know many Kyu fans dislike the man and I can see why but let us not forget that he is considered to be a sort of a mentor for Kyuhyun. And from what I've understood, that is considered to be a pretty significant thing in the Korean entertainment industry. There just is no reason for him to sabotage Kyuhyun's career now. Gura kinda staked his name when he brought Kyuhyun on as rookie MC for Ras and Kyuhyun's success is in a way his success as well.

aahh there are the translation already.

"this implies that you have to leave." this part, if i'm not really sleepy when i watch it yesterday, he said it like 2 times. (or probably i got the object wrong?)hahahaha. i don't know if probably my biased side who taking it too much, but it's not like the first time Gura did something like this.  there are some discussion on SJ gallery back then that he probably feel threatened that the kid he raising in variety actually doing well and being an icon of his program*ah i shouldn't read too much gossip i think. sorry^^

 

i don't really know how to explain it why KBS actually think to move Mamma Mia in same time slot as RS, since we don't involve in it. and also the explanation about changing the airing time is just funny and i just can't take it seriously. but yeah, the last thing i hope it won't affect Kyuhyun later.

There's official announcement from KBS that they changed MammaMia's broadcasting time schedule from Saturday to Wednesday, which is totally same time with Radio Star, and it is quite sensative and complicate problem.

In Korea, it is prohibited to be shown in more than 2 broadcasting centers' program at the same time.

Few years ago, another SJ member also had to leave one program since he appeard in two variety shows at the same time schedule.

So, what I worried about the MammaMia's schedule change is not like "oh what should i watch? Radio star? MammaMia? I can't choose!"

The real problem is that since MammaMia changes their broadcasting time schedule, he can't handle both Radio star and MammaMia. He should choose one variety show and should leave another variety show.

 

There's still no official news which Kyuhyun will choose and which he'll leave, but one certain thing is that he should leave one show soon since KBS moved MammaMia to be aired on Wednesday.

 

 

 

I write this post just because some of you seems don't understand what "MammaMia's gonna be broadcasted on Wednesday, same time as RadioStar" means, since it's the rule and manner among Korea's broadcasting centers.

I'm not supposed to blame someone, I just want you to know the rule related RadioStar and MammaMia problem.

I only want you to understand the situation, but no misunderstandings and no rumors please. Anyway, thank you for reading this long tweet.

Honestly,

 

I think Kyu dances choreographed dances fairly well. So I often don't know what people are talking about when they complain or make fun of him in that way. He might freestyle like a nerd who's never seen the dance floor in his life, but choreographed ones, he does them fine. Except when he has to do body rolls. LOL

 

 

 

 

 

But someone would just say I'm biased and alas, maybe I'm not being objective.

 

 

Oh and while I'm editing, I may as well say that I think a big part of why Kyu is popular on Radio Star is because he is just really cute. A cute guy who has an appealing smile and appealing laugh who says sharp things. And that's what makes him stand out.

 

 

Also, I have a question for you guys. Do you get bothered when people call Kyu fatty? Just wondering.

^ Kyu dance is okay though, he's far far away from bad. probable the mindset or is it already a brainwash to people that he's bad at dance. i guess it's same case for Hyukjae, this is what happen when people judging you can't sing for years  so he himself feel so and lost some confidence. so when they try, people jump into conclusion that they're bad and awkward.
