I can't believe I'm actually watching, and enjoying, the Starcraft video lol.

 

Sometimes I wonder if he's not given those parts so that he doesn't stand out too much.  I still remember the travesty that is Trap with Taemin + Kyuhyun where they seriously muted down the volume of his voice and also did some funky-ass filtering so he didn't sound like himself at all, and I remember all those people who said he was superfluous in it ;/  Maybe I'm just biased but don't put an amazing singer as a backup feature if you're just going to butcher his voice, SM!

 

Also ... I cringe every time I hear his voice being autotuned in any of the SJ & SJM songs, SO unnecessary  -_-

 

Ugh, don't remind me of the disaster that was his featuring in Trap.  -_-

I have yes. It's mind-blowing tbh. I think people tend to get too fixated on adlibs and other flashy stuff, and often unfairly disregard or even discredit his efforts in Super Junior's performances. He really does carry the songs a long way along. Not only his own lines and the chorus but oftentimes doubling for some of the weaker singers in the group and singing backup for them, like for Eunhyuk here.

 

And why not? It sounds nice, sounds live. But it really is a thankless job. I remember watching an old youtube clip of them performing It's You on TV somewhere and in the comments someone was praising Han Geng's singing and wondering about his deep voice. Meanwhile in the back row Kyuhyun is actually doing the all the work  

 

But it's not a major issue. Kyuhyun can do it, he obviously has the stamina... It's just something I have noticed for a while now and that clip brought it to my mind again.

 

The stuff he does, sings the chorus and Wook too and back-up for others really is such a thankless task. Not many people appreciate it. But hey, like he can do it so good for him. This reminds me of the 2pm interview that he did with Eunhyuk and one of the questions was how they record songs for their albums and Kyu said that they do it separately, but that usually he does it the longest cuz he does the chorus too and stuff. Then the DJ was really surprised about it. At the time I was thinking....why is that surprising? Don't the singers always do their own chorus?? I'm still a bit perplexed about this tbh. 

 

Let me see if I can find the 2pm video. It's rather an interesting video actually. 

EDIT: OH NOEESSS!!! I don't see the Eng subbed version anymore. :(((( The one on youtube was only the CC subbed and not hardsubbed so I never downloaded it but now it's gone. I swear, there are always Vietnamese subs of SJ stuff. It's better to read Vietnamese tbh as a fan. It's always available. Either that or Thai. This makes me sad. Cuz I enjoyed that interview a lot. It was quite revealing about a few things.

Omfg I actually finished watching it. Taekyong cracks me up, he kept repeating sentences all the time and I died when he started to sing along to Kyuhyun's song lmao. And Kyuhyun's ID is "Kyu's Water Droplet", HOW CUTE IS THAT OMG.

I'm gonna take 3 million hours to watch that video omg. I'm not at 4 minutes yet but it probably took me 10 minutes to watch lmao. Maybe I'll finish by 3 pm tomorrow. Now I have to take a break and do something else orz. I like that TaekYong dude tho, he's funny.

I thought two player advantage means that he got two extra players....was that supposed to be two player disadvantage? NVM! I got it now! It makes more sense when I watched the rest of it lol.

I'm not saying for only the remaining 3 months since SJ still has 8 confirmed SS and as usual encores in Seoul, year end performance in 3 stations, good that he has time to rest and may go to graduate school. But I really really hope he get a new musical or new OST. Actually good to hear that no more T3M, he's doing it for 3 years long..God.>< Guess that I just want him to be recognised for singing talent. 

 

About CMIYC musical, I really this part when he sings on the bed, sounds so sorrowful and melody sounds so good. He sang this part in the 2PM radio which he went on with Eunhyuk last year)

That bold part is about really all I want from people to recognize at the end of the day. Not just SJ fans or Kpop fans but the public generally.

So I went to KONA to meet my friend. Original plan is to stay at kona before going to grill5 to have dinner. But when I arrived at kona.. So many people. But it only happens once in a while that many people go there unless free coffee or their drinks are on drink-all-you-can promo. So I looked for seats.. And tadag.. I saw Kyu at the counter, getting orders. I thought for a long time if I'd check for a table first or to fall in line.. That was Around 3 seconds too. Then I decided to order first then let ironman* decide if there are vacant seats or none. Kyu takes orders in like 400 years. i fell in line for almost 20 minutes and I really needed to pee. When it was the Chinese fan (who was in front of me)'s turn, she and Kyu didn't understand each other. Kyu made a joke [sarcastically] and only Ara and I laughed. Haha~

 

Chinese fan: *order*order*order*

Kyu: *processing in his mind what CF ordered then punch punch order (in computer)*

Chinese fan: *pays*

Kyu: *gives change then points at menu* this is free.. You can get it too (he said it in. Korean. I'm too lazy to translate)

Chinese fan: ....

Kyu: never mind.. I didn't say anything (in Korean again)

Ara and I: *laughs* hahaha~ 

 

Then it was my turn.. My usual order at KONA is black milk tea but they didn't have it at the moment.. Waaah~

And because I'm a troll.. I handed him my school ID. Pretended it's the wrong one. Then he looked at it and I said.. Wrong card then I handed my CC then he gave back my ID with a smile. When he gave me the circle thingy.. He was holding around 3/4 of that so I didn't have a choice but to hold his hand because he might think that I'm disgusted at his hand if I avoid it. Then he smiled again. I was thinking.. "You pervert" haha~ that's all~

 

Oh yeah.. I didn't notice Kyu's craters in his cheeks because I was only looking at his eyes while talking to him. Don't worry. He isn't squint. Haha~

Yesterday, Radio star wear white Micky Mouse, now green one. Fansign Tony Moly Eunhyuk wear a dark blue one. Ryeowook also wore MM on last RS. What's with MM trend 

 

So not last week but this week is his last recording schedule??  Does It mean we have old slot time on 20 Oct and new one on 23 Oct. But his recording on 10 Oct is scheduled to broadcast on 20 Oct ( base on his clothes)....so today is for the new slot time??

Hope KBS and MBC don't have hard feeling on Kyu. remember the last time Kangin had a bit difficulty with MBC in 2007. ( wow, I read that he MCed in 5 shows in08' + musical+ dramas. I think its the most hyped year for Kangin. It's new to me cos i'm a fan of Suju for only 2 years )

Hope KBS and MBC don't have hard feeling on Kyu. remember the last time Kangin had a bit difficulty with MBC in 2007. ( wow, I read that he MCed in 5 shows in08' + musical+ dramas. I think its the most hyped year for Kangin. It's new to me cos i'm a fan of Suju for only 2 years )

I don't think he'll get blamed for anything. It was KBS' weird ass decision to change the timeslot. And I don't think anyone expected him to choose MM over Radio Star. But more free time for Kyuhyun might mean more singing so yay.

I hear you. He was 10 out of 10 even back then when he rarely got the opportunity to do variety.

 

Kyuhyun's always been really good with impromptu singing whether it be on TV or during fanmeets. It was one of the things that made me take notice. It requires a certain skill level and confidence to do that which imho sets him apart from his peers. His passion and depth of knowledge when it comes to songs and music styles in Korea and abroad goes way beyond the need to know basis kpop idols usually operate on.

 

So in celebration, here are three occasions of Kyuhyun singing on radio that are especially dear to me (I'm seriously bummed that he hasn't appeared on radio since idek when... I really thought that after Ryeowook took over Sukira he would be there every other week. Guess not.)

One of my all time favourite Suju songs. In this particular clip I especially love the unabashed, unrelenting way Kyu + Wook sing the chorus with like all their being. It's just always been very appealing to me...

Probably my all time fave Kyu radio appearance and fave Kyu duet. They sound so good together and for once Kyuhyun's voice isn't drowning out his partner's. This really was the very definition of an impromptu, unrehearsed little performance. I'd love them to duet again some day.

Hm that would be really cool. They should write their own songs. I've always wanted Kyu to try. I know Wook has written stuff. Remember when he was on Foresight and they had to make up their own tunes? He wasn't so bad at it at all. 

 

 

yeah.. i just finally realized after think about for a long time hahahaha. at first i thought because it's Heechul so SM let him do anything he wants(still a truth though), then seeing Eunhyuk Donghae made me think it must be composer thingy.

yep..Ryeowook has written many stuff though it's only one song ever been release officially.  idk if it's because his songs not qualify for SM standard or he stop doing composition or even not confident enough. so i guess the safest choice is having composer team(????) hahaha.

also those talk on Sukira days ago about remake solo album, it's also okay. boy...just give me anything. i'm okay with it hahaha.
