Kyuhyun is leaving Mamma Mia


MC Kyuhyun of KBS 2TV’s ‘Mamma Mia’ will be stepping down.

A representative from KBS variety revealed on the 7th that Kyuhyun is planning to leave his post as MC of the show.

The show is planning a reorganizatin and will change time from Sunday at 4:55 p.m. to Wednesday evening at 11:10 p.m. This means that it will overlap with MBC show ‘Radio Star’.

Kyuhyun is also an MC of ‘Radio Star’. It has been decided that he would leave ‘Mamma Mia’. Kyuhyun is working with the producer to decided on a last appearance on ‘Mamma Mia’.

His replacement has yet to be decided. They are also looking into ways that Kyuhyun’s work with ‘Radio Star’ would not overlap with appearing on the show.

new info : apparently the decision of him leaving isnt final, bcs they still consider the other options. well still, the decision of moving the show to the exact time slot and day with RS is quite suspicious for me lol. Well I may be overanalyzing tho.

 the way they decided to move the schedule to the same time slot as RS is still sketchy for me, if they want to change him, just do it, moving it to the same time slot and make the two shows that are hosted by one of the host compete head to head for rating is kinda off. I dont like it.

It's like KBS want him to choose or indirectly tell him to quit bcs lets face it, Kyuhyun himself has his own respective fans who watch the show, whether it's Mamma Mia or Radio Star bcs of him, and if they happen to air at the same time, some of those fans who usually help the rating of RS will choose to watch Mamma Mia ( bcs of preference ), and that'll make it seem like he betrayed Radio Star.

 

yeah the problem is in KBS itself, I have few theories in mind about it but I think it's a done deal already, so I wont bother lol, I'm okay with him leaving actually, KBS moved the schedule disregarding Kyuhyun's position and that also meant that the position isnt worth to be fought over since KBS itself doesnt really respect him.

The first host Min-ho quit the job due to SHINee’s Japan tour concert and Kyu-hyun replaced him from the May 19 episode. He is appealing to viewers with humorous ad-libs and staright-fowrad comments.
