A Hamster Named Loneliness 3,680 Posted August 13, 2016 Share Posted August 13, 2016 the last time I actually used Facebook was in college because Facebook was actually useful then due to there being dedicated groups for my university like a textbook exchange (forget paying $300+ for a textbook when you can get it for free or a small price from fellow students who no longer need the book) group, a free and for sale group, and groups dedicated to classes where students help each other with study guides and shit. 25%Cotton 7,133 Posted August 13, 2016 Share Posted August 13, 2016 is it because you guys are teenagers or something?while facebook certainly isn't as big as it is before, it is a staple of keeping communication with family and friends when you're an adult. once you're not living at home and going to at set times to a collective location with everyone you know (school), it becomes a lot harder to remain in contact with the people you like. of course, you can just use Line or whatever and message your close friends, but facebook is a way to keep in touch with large amounts of friends at once without needing to specify exactly who. you can upload photo albums, arrange events, and share news and videos (and make pages but those are stupid). facebook messenger is also the only instant message service i can get older people to respond to. of course it's not the glory it was before but it's a useful tool.
