why does it seem like so many kpop fans lack a general knowledge and understanding of how the music production industry works?

isn't sampling in the music industry common knowledge? but why have i been seeing SO MANY uneducated comments on various sites saying stuff like "they copied salt n' pepa" and "i hate that they did a remake instead of an original song" ect. and then they're just making themselves look stupid because salt n' pepa's version isn't even the original song.

it also reminds me of the situation with all the crap bts got for their song dead leaves saying they plagiarized that song dead roses, then exo's they never know came out and people said  they copied bts or they sampled dead leaves but in the end the they never know producer schooled everyone in something i thought was well known:

"So, producers often use what are called sound libraries. These libraries include different drum sounds, drum loops, synth loops, guitar loops, piano loops, etc. They're shared across the web for producers to use, for free, without having to credit or ask for permission from the original maker of that sound or loop. They're royalty free. So, if a drum sound or a loop is hot, they'll often get used by multiple producers. The electric piano loop that I used was from one of those sound libraries. Since I don't listen to every single Kpop song that gets released, I was unaware that BTS' song, ê³ ì—½ (Dead Leaves), had the same loop. A lot of fans think that both the producer of Dead Leaves and I sampled Blackbear's Deadroses. That's not the case. It just turned out that all three of us used the same loop from the same sound library. "  c

idk, i just feel like many international kpop fans are just so blissfully ignorant about these things. i mean, i'm sure a lot of people in general aren't knowledgeable about the topic of music production, but isn't the concept of sampling and common instrument samples that many producers use something most people kind of understand? or is it just that only kpop fans/idol fans are obsessive enough to give a shit about every tiny similarity between another song?

opinions?

generally, fans don't know anything about the music industry. not everyone is interested in such things bunny_emoji_68__bouncy___v4__by_jerikuto

whether or not it's stupid that they spew bullshit around like that, is another story. but we don't have to learn about the music industry lol bunny_emoji_68__bouncy___v4__by_jerikuto

Most ppl don't really care about these things, not only don't care but are not interested about music, I know it sounds like a common information for those who like to search about but is not actually

This is why many artists are not well appreciated, ppl don't get how much effort they put on a song

I also remember when RM mixtape came out some people were like "did he plagiarize/copy this song" or asking where they could buy it and being completely clueless about how mixtapes generally work... I'm already anticipating the same type of comments on Suga's mixtape too.

Most kpop fans are really young and have no clue of how this stuff works, not even the basics. Other people just like to use it as an excuse to hate (even if it makes them look dumb as fuck).

No ones asking you to learn how to manage a soundbooth.

knowing sampling/plagiarism should be common knowledge though.
