Yes! Beijing, China at Peking University. Best semester of my life. Everyone in China was so friendly and nice, and omg free beer and cheap food everywhere. I could actually afford to travel everywhere.

China is pretty developped, especially Beijing, so i get ur choice. other than that, what made u wanna go there? Do you study in chinese though?

I'm currently studying in France. ^^

Oh, I see that's great! Because the majority of people I know, including myself, just wait until college to go overseas.

Yep! My country happens to a popular spot for education in Asia, so we get quite a few foreign students who wanted to get a headstart coming over at a young age. It's really expensive though, not everyone can afford it and most of them are really smart students cause they're here on scholarships.

I've only ever been on school exchange cause it's too expensive for me to study full time overseas - was in London for a month for British Media and Oklahoma for 3 weeks to finish my Liberal Arts course. Not sure if that counts, but it's like one of the best memories of university I had. :meow:

I was a business student, so it made more sense for me to go to China rather than Europe. Plus China is just so cheap, and so rich with culture, so it was no.1 on my study abroad list. <3 Best decision ever. The entire study abroad group would just travel everywhere on the weekend, we'd go see the Forbidden Palace, go hike the Great Wall, go to Shanghai for the long weekend. Simply amazing!

And nah, didn't have to study Chinese, because I'm Chinese, so it gave me a chance to practice my Mandarin :)

France sounds amazing though! Would love to visit again in the future, but I'm slightly afraid of all the attacks in Europe right now :S

Well I'm going to school in Russia, even tho I'm German.

In one year my family will move (somewhere in Europe) and I will go to a language school there.

After that I think I either wanna study in Asia or Europe.

I met a few people from Russia on holidays and they were really nice, will you study in russian though?

that's why i actually did this post, because i'm thinking of going to Seoul, but my korean isn't that good tbh its bad lol. I'll probably search for a English uni or something.

I studied abroad, in Turkey Istanbul

Did you like it?

it can be annoying when you're far from home tbh.

You're from singapore? oh my brother is going to study there this upcoming year!

And I want to go to Seoul because korean is the only asian language i can manage for now + life in korea seems more "simple" than in europe or busy busy cities if you know what i mean.

Yep! Ohhh, nice! I hope he enjoys it here. Be prepared for the hot weather though XD

Seoul is nice! I had a couple friends who went to Seoul for their language studies and they've all had great experiences, meeting friendly people and just enjoying the good food and stuff ; u ;. I think in some ways Seoul does remind me of busy cities, especially the tourist districts, but I guess for some places like Sinchon/Hongdae you get this really nice indie vibe that's chillax in some streets. :3 People stop to listen to buskers, look at what's happening on the streets...not so stiff-upper lip in some sense, yes.

P.S: watch out for the shoving ahjummas on the subway though x_x thought I cracked a rib bone once-

I'm glad you enjoyed it omg, exactly that's why I want to study in Asia, it's so cheap, developped and the people are really simple and nice, the food seems good too but i wouldn't know lol.

I liked France though, I studied in the south. the weather is always warm and sunny, so we'd go to the beach anytime we wanted really, shopping centers are no joke so that's something i enjoy a lot, and i sometimes cry when i see the price, lmao. and basically it's the europe aura u know. haha.

Ahahaha. I'll tell him, I bet he'll completely ignore me when he gets there, it's so far lol.

Lmao I'll be careful, yes i agree with you Seoul is one hell of a "busy" city but what I like about it is, despite that it still keeps the traditions, and people are polite alos, i think it's cheaper than where I'm studying right now, so that would be great. I hear that the studying is tough, I'd like to improve myself being in an environment that is quite difficult in university. And have fun haha.

Yea, it's a little difficult to get around China without basic Chinese. When you get to the non-city part of China, most people can't speak Chinese very well. And if people aren't careful, they might end up eating things they don't want to eat lol

But man, France sounds amazing! The food must be crazy awesome! I just looooove Europe and its architecture and environment. China is majestic and all, but let's be honest, pollution in China was absolutely terrible... lol

:) do u plan on going back though?

i'm really curious tbh 😜
