Do you lead people on to feel good about yourself?

for a long time i thought i led someone on. but my friends assured me that i didn't. basically, i expressed a lot of interest in someone, we went on a date and were on a "dating" status for a month. after a month, the person thought to make the relationship official, and i thought about going along with it and realized that it would be shitty for me to do so. i broke it off after.

still, the month i spent dating, i felt like i was probably leading that person on. didn't make me feel any better tho. i was just scared of being honest.

how was that experience for you?

Hmm, I felt like shit about it at the time because that person and I had been friends for a long time, but looking back on it, I probably read too much into certain situations, which was my fault, but I was really young at the time so. It's fine now of course but I'm not in touch with that person anymore

No you definitely led them on, you're friends are wrong but Tbh you probably should have just went with the official thing, as long as you're willing the other won't mind you don't need to be in love to be bf/gf.

We have a name for people who do that… Trash.

what? That's majority tho?
