Hello everyone, I'm new to this thread but not so new to BTS. I'm still trying to learn properly about them to be a decent Army, so sorry if I won't be contributing much. 😅 I'm currently watching Rookie Kings Channel Bangtan and plan to continue with their full filmography. Nice to meet you.

If the comeback is anything more soft and sentimental to fit the season again like Spring Day, I might combust. One of my most favorite songs from them ever.

Given how successful Spring Day turned out to be, I have a feeling a new title like that would kill the charts in Korea.

That's just me personally, though. I know we're more focused on Billboard and worldwide charts now, and I haven't been disappointed in their releases at all yet, so I'll take anything.

Oh yes, I am obsessed with Spring Day, it is one of my fav song by them, I listen to it on replay quite often.

I went to the website and there's another 24 hours countdown??

Edit: Now there's a "502 ERROR The request could not be satisfied."

BUT there's another website, https://txt.ibighit.com/ Tomorrow X Together.

I came back from the movies like thirty minutes ago.

It was amazing, and the audience was so quiet and polite. There were a couple of screams (at Jungkook's abs in Fake Love) and someone clapped once in a while, but it was a shared experience and nobody got pissed because of it. The volume was so loud that I could sing without anyone hearing me, not even my sister beside me, and I'm sure many did the same thing. And I admit it, I took videos like at a real concert (but honestly I have never been to a concert before).
I was a bit disappointed that the talking parts were cut and that it was only a performance after another, but I guess it would have been too long for a movie.

The problem is that now I want to see them performing for real before my eyes and it's, like, haunting me.

"Love Yourself in Seoul" earned a spot on an Italian newscast (Italia 1 "Studio Aperto" January 27, 12.30 PM edition).

Translation:

Another show took place in Italy at cinemas, where Korean pop music idols landed.
Army: *sings Idol*
Italian girls singing in an oriental language: it's the "Korean pop phenomenon". The Korean musical genre crossed every border and is being a smash hit all over the world, just like its most famous representatives, boy band BTS.
Army: I started listening to their songs, also because of the meanings of their lyrics, which are very deep.
Now the BTS phenomenon arrives at cinemas where, for the first time, it  was screened the concert film "Love Yourself", the band mega-performance at Seoul stadium. Present at screenings, all of which went sold out [well, not really...], the boy band's fans, equipped with sweaters and gadgets dedicated to their idols.
Army: I went to Amsterdam to watch them live. I've been following them for about two years now and I have this fantastic T-shirt.
Army 2: I have a social page together with other girls, it's called "Italian Army Family", and through this page we give daily informations about our boys, BTS.
Determining who holds the "best fan" title is very difficult, with some who have the group symbol tattooed and some who, on the other hand, decided to learn Korean.
Army: With hangul, the Korean alphabet...
Armys 2&3: *sing Fake Love*

Wow, it looks like Argentina fans can fill a large venue (mayhaps stadium?) by themselves.

Yeah, there are many Armys there. I'm looking forward to Italian datas that'll be released around Thursday, I'm really curious about how many Armys there are here. (I'm already calculating which stadium we could fill)

Thanks for the constant updates. This are impressive datas for a one-day screening.

Italian box-office is out and I LOVE IT!!!

It's 12th with 324k euros in two days (84 venues, 3,866 euros each), 325,516 euros in total.
Number of moviegoers: 19.926+ (this is much much more than what I was expecting!)

Wow, that's a lot isn't it? Almost 20k italian armys for one day screening. They could fill up a large arena (like 20k cap) by themselves easily at this rate.

Yes, more than what I was expecting (even though the Italian Army Twitter account has 29k followers). While at the movies, some girls were complaining that Milan wasn't included in Love Yourself tour because they were afraid they would not fill the whole stadium. I don't know if this is true or not, and as a matter of fact Meazza stadium has 80,000 seats, but I hope this result leads to some schedules in Italy in the future. rlytearpls.png

Btw, due to high demand "Love Yourself in Seoul" will be screened again on February 9 in Italy, as well as in India and I don't know, maybe somewhere else. Also, was SKorea the only country which screened it for more than 1 day straight?

Umm....I rarely post here, but I really wanted to share this. Bear with me if it’s too long. Had to get a lot of things out.

The day BTS’s popularity hit home for me was when they screened burn the stage in the city where I live in India. Like, I live in a rather closed off (not as open to other cultures or foreign movies as Delhi or Mumbai) city in Central India, where people care mostly about Bollywood, unless you’re Marvel or DC or any of the seriously big franchises( like Harry Potter or Marvel big). When I found out that burn the stage was going to be screened, ‘I was like, huh. Wow. They really are that big now.’ I mean, I knew BTS is THE global boy group, but I never even dreamt of the day I’d get to see a BTS movie in this city in India. That was when I realised the extent of their popularity.

Another incident that shocked me was when one of my college (doesn’t really care about most things but Bollywood) batchmates, recognised a BTS badge on my bag. She was like, That’s BTS, right? And I was so shocked. Of course; she then proceeded to ask me if I knew Korean and how I could understand them if I didn’t know.....but I still was pleasantly surprised that she knew them.

Another thing I never dreamt of happening.

Let me emphasise on how big this was for me. It was in a definitely more closed off, not really interested in foreign entertainment (at least compared to the metropolitan cities) place, where I once watched a Hollywood movie and there were only 4 people (including me and my friend) in the entire theatre. That’s the level of interest the public here has in most foreign entertainment.

I’ve been an army since 2015 and though I wasn’t here from their debut, I witnessed most of their growth and success. And I’m still shocked by their popularity. For me, in my opinion, you’ve truly made it, like really made it on a worldwide scale, if your concert movie is going to be screened is these many cities in India and only because there’s large demand for it. I’m not saying that they’re popular with the general public, because nothing will be able to beat Bollywood here, but truly, BTS is going where no kpop group has grown before and anyone who says otherwise is either blind or in a serious state of denial. I’m so proud of them and am still overwhelmed by their popularity. I’m going to see the love yourself movie tomorrow, because tomorrow is the only date it’s gonna be screened in India and I still can’t wrap my mind around this. Maybe it’s because I myself, grew up listening to kpop and saw how unpopular it was here.

Thank you for sharing...

As for me, I realized their popularity here in Italy last Saturday at "Love Yourself in Seoul" screening, when I found other 250 ARMYs at the movies, singing "Idol" out loud while waiting for the doors to open. I'm ashamed to admit it, but honestly it was bittersweet... because I had never interacted with other Italian fans before and I had felt I was, like, a privileged special one for knowing how amazing they are while others ignored them... I knew it wasn't like that, but that day I realized it for real. I had no lightstick nor a BTS T-shirt, while others had, and I joined the fandom only last year, so I don't know everything... To cut it short, it was an epiphany of my shortcomings.

But not being the only Italian ARMY is such a positive thing because the more we are, the more chances there are for the boys to come here. So, well, now I'm coping with it and studying to become a proper ARMY. smile.png
