1. [+1,202, -10] Then come and take all of the Chinese celebrities in our country too

2. [+943, -13] Yeah, I'm sure you guys will be really happy when can't export your food anymore~

3. [+737, -9] We get it, stop whining...

4. [+40, -6] I mean he's not wrong... how can you demand a hundred million won an episode???? Put most of these entertaining clowns in an office job and they'd barely be able to make 30 million won a year. These stars think they can make so much easy money... Cut down on how much stars are paid in Korea too. Makes no sense that they're paid so much that their own staff can't get paid.

5. [+30, -0] Yeah well your Chinese stars are known as traitors

6. [+24, -1] As a country with the largest population in the world, isn't it embarrassing that you don't have enough talent out of that many people that you have to bring in stars from another country? Shouldn't you be paying them more and giving them more respect if so? Why would you expect foreign stars to come work in your country for pennies? Just stick to your own tacky celebrities if you don't want to pay up for ours.

7. [+20, -1] I think this is a good opportunity for us to cut back on our dependence on China too

8. [+18, -1] ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ This is getting worse for Cao Lu, Victoria, and Fei's image

9. [+18, -2] Can you guys let Hong Soo Ah stay at least. She completely overhauled her entire face to look more Chinese for you guys.

10. [+17, -0] Think of this as a marriage... if your conditions aren't being met, then why not go your separate ways? Clearly China and Korea's working conditions aren't being met so stop working together. Not like any of the Korean directors who've collaborated with Chinese movies and dramas have ever come out with content that wasn't tacky...

not at you calling Chinese actors and actresses talentless and tacky, because from what I've heard, Nirvana in Fire and the original Bu Bu Xing Jin (which the upcoming K-drama Scarlet Heart: Ryeo is based on) had stellar casting, and I've often heard that Nirvana in Fire is better than any historical K-dramas out there.

Have they not watch Happy Together where Hwang Chi Yeol said that Chinese shows pay 100 times more than Korea?

Lol this comment . China actors and movie industry>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Korea's

I agree China lacks in idols department which is the reason k-pop was able to be popular among teens and young woman .

The only reason china hired kcelebs it's because of the popularity they have among young woman/teens who are into dramas or love Korean products .

Majority of Chinese don't care about them.A lot hate them. And why should they pay respect if those celebs don't respect most of them don't even bother learning Chinese but when it's Chinese idols you guys still criticise them when they're trying their best hypocrites !!

Seriously, China's box office is going to take over the US in a year or two and it has nothing to do with having Koreans in their films. Actually most films with Koreans don't even do that well.

lmao these Korean celebs need China, not the other way around. there's such an incredible amount of support for homegrown talent among the public + a lot of talented rising stars that not having Korean actors would make no difference whatsoever. netizen 6 is a dumbass lmfao

China is also buying major Hollywood studios like Legendary. I think China will have a major say in what drives the film industry in the 21st century. I've noticed a huge change in the credits in the beginning of Hollywood movies, from Alibaba Pictures in MI5 to Huayi Brothers in Bad Moms.

And Paramount.

Lol @ these comments. Just lol @ Koreans thinking that looking Chinese is an insult and believing their content has higher quality when Chinese movies and dramas have been breaking out in recent years. Lots of Chinese movies win awards. Hell, one of the biggest Asian movies that did well in the West was a Chinese production.

That blatant ignorance.

China's film industry is extremely lucrative and is only getting bigger. There's a reason why high profile Korean actors opt to work in a foreign country.

As for C directors banning/boycotting K actors, I understand the decision even if its extreme.

Chinese dramas are dubbed because of the vast amount of dialects in China and actors there hail from all over China as well as HK, Taiwan etc., the finished production is dubbed for ease of understanding for the viewers. Working with Korean actors that knows bare minimal Chinese will only make the filming more strenuous and tiring for everyone involved.

China definitely does not lack local talents.

At least majority of Chinese actors and actresses hail from prestigious film universities, however with the popularity of idols both foreign and home grown, the landscape of acting is starting to change. Not really a good thing.
