Have you ever witnessed or even known a Koreaboo/Weeaboo in real life?

(This thread is inspired by the numerous Weeaboo Stories blogs on Tumblr and around the web, and I've always wondered about people on OH's experiences with them.)

If so, please do share. I'm thirsty for more stories (i'm addicted  :derp: )

Yes.

Working as a resident assistant in my University's dorms I had to shut down a party involving a few Koreaboos.

It was just a noise warning at first because they were blasting their Kpop too loud but there was alcohol in there so...

Basically they were streaming music videos over their TV and spazzing over their oppas.

not only were they koreaboos (and trying to talk about BTS the entire time) but they were drunk Koreaboos.

And I knew that these girls were taking Korean and the whole thing because I saw them around frequently and one of my friends ( who was born in Korea but adopted and learning Korean now) was in class  w/ them and constantly complained to me about how cringey this group of girls is...

anyway,

I knew a girl in college who bought a $1000 Japanese sword because "Japanese craftsmanship is superior"  :har:

What she even needed that for I don't know...

She wanted to audition for American Idol with some Japanese song.

Her brother also wore furry eats and a tail around campus  :omgwtf:

OMG I need to know what happened   :omg:

It's a long story... Basically, there was this girl who used to make fun of me for liking Kpop and Korean/Asian related stuff. She was the whole package, from the "they all look the same", going trough the "you can't understand what they're saying" to the "is that a boy a girl? and why are they so weird?" type of thing. But eventually, I mentioned k-dramas and she said she wanted to watch one (probably so she could make fun of it later) but she ended up loving it. So she started going around, saying she love her oppa (that'd be Kim Hyun Joong, btw, since she saw Playful Kiss first) and stating that she knew everything about him and the korean entertainment world. She then proceeded to watch whatever dramas she could and download OSTs to her cellphone, but never did she admit to like kpop. Nah, she goes around saying things like "annyeong" and "kamsahmida" to people who don't even know Korea is part of Asia, but she still refuse to give kpop a chance. Not that I'm complaining, but it's quite annoying when she's so convicted that she's some sort of Korea expert and clearly knows more about their entertaining world than me.

there is one ultimate japan weaboo i think of at the type of my head, ughhh... she and a fellow student of mine that takes the same classes as me were always being so cringey. she talked in the HIGHEST pitch ever, screamed, came to school in full cosplays, called everyone kawaii/chan/onii and hugged everyone in the room. but me, because she probably knew that i lowkey despised her.

A few people back in high school anime club, but they were harmless and the most they did was throw around common words heard in anime. And I was an internet weeaboo at 15 (meaning I only contained my weeabooism online with online friends).

I've never met a Koreaboo in real life, though.
