During stressful times it may have crossed Luhan's mind (but In a wistful kind of (wishful thinking) way). He was already in so deep and he probably couldn't even imagine the backlash or the betrayal many would feel. That's why I think the idea of actually leaving only became feasible to him once Kris actually did it. It was kind of like "wow, it's not as impossible as it seems." And so Luhan saw his opportunity and took it. Then there is Tao. Tbh if Kris never left, and especially if Luhan didn't follow, I don't think he would have gone (not to mention if he had received the same treatment as Lay as hinted by his father). I say this bc When Kris left Tao had been extremely surprised and hurt. (As we all know) meaning he honesty didn't see it coming and he couldn't understand why. His response at the time was favoring exo and SM. So that just tells me he wouldn't have left on his own. But with half of the Chinese memebers already gone and doing so well in China, and Lay's sudden promotion, his emotions were probably mixed up and in he end the just left. Some fans discussed it as early as in summer of 2013. It is common when you are not happy about life and job, you'd consider quitting. Kris' departure let him aware that leaving is actually doable. Yes,they left for opportunities too...among other stuff.Because they realized they're going to spend 10 years of their lives under a management that would give them a shitty movie a year just to shut up about opportunities.If they were still in Exo today do you think they would have a studio like Lay?
