I just feel like they got fond of each other more...It's not like they were awkward before thou. It's just like they are closer in a comfy way. Tbh, I don't know whether it is for a media play or something else. But ever since that message Yoongi sent to Tae happened. I just feel like they got fond of each other more...It's not like they were awkward before thou. It's just like they are closer in a comfy way. Is it just me or do you guys think so too?

i definitely don't think it's mediaplay haha

 

if i'm being suspicious, i'll say that sometimes the vlive writers wanted taegi together (bon voyage 2, bts run season 2). but then again, there's nothing wrong with that. plus i'm not sure how popular taegi is for vlive to specifically aim to push the ship (the top two most popular ships globally is obvious but idk about number three, four etc)

 

but i do feel like taegi became much closer after the letter ohbi.png you can tell the letter meant a lot to taehyung and probably since then / over time they had deep discussions and such. maybe have more in common now, or just more open-minded with things (?). also in general, i feel like certain relationships/dynamics within BTS are changing. compare 2013 BTS with 2018 BTS and a lot has happened. naturally friendships can change

To my mind there are 3 main options here:

 

1. It's skinship and it's their turn for their particular 'ship' routine (ugh, I hate that word) to do it's thing for the good of K-pop. (I really loathe this option when you dig back you find they've always been fond and pretty tuned into each other.)

2. It's a genuine platonic, close friendship between two guys of whatever sexuality. But goes no further than that. 

3. They're in love and probably together - and trying hard to balance their obvious affection out between band tasks, and equal moments with the others. 

 

I don't like overplays of skinship (which these two do not do, they're more subtle) because I think it's used by K-pop moguls to try and dupe fans into thinking more is going on than there often in reality may be. And it does a disservice to the LGBT+ community, as well as idols who are part of the community on the downlow. But I think BTS are genuine people within/behind the wacky, fun stuff they have to do for the cameras. Something has 'changed' between Yoongi and Taehyung recently. I feel like it's buzzing away all the time. I think Yoongi shoving his body into Tae on the couch is not engineered. Now, they may be dating other people (or have other interests making them super sweet n happy) outside this group and their actions are partly or fully dictated by that, idk. But they just seem so drawn to each other. And you can see the other members smiling at them in a delighted way a lot. So, interesting...     

 

Of course it's difficult to truly express what you may think at times because it's 2 guys and someone's always out to jump on your case, you're ergo 'presuming their sexuality' and foisting your evil western ideals on them. But whatever T and Y have, it feels to me to have a genuine energy about it, and I hope it brings them tons more happiness and good times.

Yeah, I do think after the text message, which obviously meant a lots to Tae as he did cry for 10 mins after lol, something has changed in their relationship. Maybe before Tae only shared his worries with Jimin & others but maybe now he is more open with Yoongi too as Yoongi has showed that he cares about Tae. That really warms my heart to see it too, as they both are sensitive in a way so maybe something Yoongi texted him really touched his heart...

 

The thing is I'm still curious why Yoongi only texted Tae & JK on that day thou. Was there something happened with those two especially...

Well, it's true that the writers might have wanted to pair Taegi up but you still can see the small details they shared off screen any way. And the feeling/vibe btw them is just so warm hahaha.

 

And I didnt mean it in any sexual way. I havent thought of their relationship as in a romantic way too but its interesting to see your opinion about it @Bushi ilikeitplz.png . I thought that it's just friends who are more open up to each other in another level. But yeah, I do agree with you that they are drawn to each other more lately & there is a genuine feeling btw them ilikeitplz.png

Thanks you for your thoughts too. And well I leave it open-ended because what might seem romantic to some may not be to them. It could be a friendship that's deepened with time and they express it in the way they do. Any 'romantic interpretation' doesn't necessarily have to be sexual either. There's lot of levels of how to interpret something and that's why when I look at people I like to see all possibilities. I can't help that I feel there could are legit bi/gay members in this group (exactly who is hard to pin down), who don't have the luxury of being who they truly are, but again, that's just my interpretation. 

 

I don't have a huge history with them but I've done a lot of looking back over older/old videos. 

 

My belief about the long text is that: 1. There was no band-related reason to even mention it. So I think this was Tae expressing the importance of this event. 2. I don't believe the same message was sent to Jungkook, or at least, nothing of the same gravity. And if it had been, why not discuss it at the time? Why present it as if it was new info to everyone? These guys tattle to each other about everything. So why didn't Jk and Tae (very good friends, some (not me) say they're more) know about a message that made Tae 'cry for 10 minutes', until the meal? Tae was overwhelmed. Jungkook was completely nonchalant about it. Or...was it a bit of damage control to lessen the impact of Taehyung's outpouring? Also watch him play with the neck of his shirt whilst he tells everyone his important message.

He's gently telling him off but tbh I'd have expected them to discuss the ramifications of drowning each other at the time it happened (I do think it happened), I know I would. There's lots of smiles so I might reserve this exchange under my 'a little bit for the cameras' category.

So if anyone hasn't seen this older vid, it's supposedly about 'Jungkook's jealousy towards Minho over V'. I came across it yesterday whilst browsing the K pop crack vids and thought this thread might like the opening seconds. The rest of the video is super heavy on the analysis of each member purportedly scampering around trying to keep Taehyung and Jungkook apart. Rather than get their shirts tucked in to receive an award and think about what they're going to say/where to stand. 

 

Usual disclaimer applies, may be something or may be nothing. But the person that has any reaction at all isn't Jungkook (who is picking his nails).

So apparently this happened. Out of all of them I see Yoongi as the one who gets the most physically/mentally overwhelmed by all this; the endless award shows, breakneck pace of celebrity life for BTS, the demands/expectations, etc.

reminds me of the RUN final episode, when Taehyung said he'd carry Yoongi the rock around.
