-"MyMy"- 3,118 Posted September 22, 2016 Share Posted September 22, 2016 So, to generate some discussion, what do you guys love about YoonJin?  Personally I feel like their relationship to each other is really underrated because so many of their other relationships in the group are so obvious and in your face. That's what I think I love most about Yoongi and Jin's relationship. It's quietly supportive, comfortable and has the ease and hilarity of a friendship that's been around for 20+ years.  They don't need to be loud and boisterous in their affection. It's like that friend you've had for years where you know each other so well you don't need to talk you just know. They tease each other in the most savage of ways and they each just laugh it off and try to one-up the other the next time. The quiet moments when they're together away from the other members are the most telling to me, like the EatJin where it was just the two of them. Where the way they talked was easy and funny and felt like it was just a casual continuation of what they always do. Particularly when Yoongi said it's usually Jin he's eating in front of  I love that Jin thought to invite him of everyone and Yoongi, even though he practically lives in his studio and doesn't think much of formal meals, said yes. I love how Jin revels in their Hyung/Dongsaeng dynamic, especially when he gets bossy and Yoongi indulges him no matter how reluctant he is.  You wouldn't think that they'd mesh well but the fact that they've both said they love rooming together says a lot. It takes a certain type of camaraderie and give/take for roommates to really work. And who would know you better than the person you share your sleeping space with? They would see you at your most tired, vulnerable, irritated lol they're the person you'd spend the most time with and would have the most contact with. To put things into perspective. The fact that Yoongi...Yoongi our lovable little introvert who works way too hard, allows for their beds to be pushed together so they can watch movies and even asks Jin to stay up with him, is just too cute. He's mentioned before Jin is the one who "makes him feel at ease." We all know that Yoongi can get caught up in his head and I think Jin is someone he can just relax and be himself around without feeling the need to talk or be loud. Or "be strong" like he might feel when the younger members are around. Jin is supportive and never fails to make sure Yoongi knows and feels that he's admired, that he's a vital and essential part of the group, clear back from when he wrote that letter to him when they debuted. I ramble too much lol but what I'm trying to say in the simplest of terms is that their dynamic is my favorite for all these reasons and more.  I'm agreeing with all you wrote especially the bolded parts. They seem to just grow closer and closer and they seem to take quite a lot of comfort in each other. They're also so close agewise (3 months & 5 days), the only ones closer when it comes to age in bangtan are Jimin and Tae (2 months and 17 days), and I think that's often forgotten. Their maturity level is probably quite equal (even though Jin is more willing to goof around at times and play a bit younger than he is) and I think that might also be one of the reasons that none of them seem scared of calling the other one out on their bullsh*t. And I also think that they both need that, cause they're both in very special positions in the group. Both are older than the leader and have to show him respect for being their leader while at the same time try to make sure that their positions as older aren't questioned. Which probably resulted in them both trying to balance a quite fine line in the beginning of bangtan between being too strict and too laidback.
