Synopsis

Guts, known as the Black Swordsman, seeks sanctuary from the demonic forces that pursue him and his woman, and also vengeance against the man who branded him as an unholy sacrifice. Aided only by his titanic strength, skill, and sword, Guts must struggle against his bleak destiny, all the while fighting with a rage that might strip him of his humanity. Berserk is a dark and brooding story of outrageous swordplay and ominous fate, in the theme of Shakespeare's Macbeth.

The animation is horrible and cheap unfortunately, it's honestly the biggest disappointment of the year.

I haven't read the manga, but I know a lot of what happens and I have seen some of the art. It's a really disgusting manga. The creator has a lot of imagination.

I'm currently reading the manga so i haven't watched any of the anime yet, but i've heard nothing but bad things about it.

Nah this show makes me want to cry. I don't get why the license is in the hand of some no name studio who only works so far are shitty moe anime and they fcking animated the show in 3d CGI......

 

I was so hyped for it too. Pretty much everything i read from fans hate this show.

I rather just read the manga. The gritty artstyle actually give it a much better dark feelings anyway
