Syfy's Defiance (recently came out?)

The series is set in the near future, where aliens known collectively as Votans have come to Earth seeking a new home after their solar system was destroyed. However, when they reached Earth, they discovered despite a prolonged negotiation with the government on Earth, they were not welcome. Rather than turn away, they began a war with the humans as they are determined to make Earth their new home. During the war, the Votans dropped terraformers on the planet and transformed the surface; scorching the earth, opening chasms in the ground and covering the surface of the planet in dust and debris. After decades of war, a ceasefire is declared when both sides realise they must focus on survival on this new almost alien planet. The series largely revolves around the character of Jeb Nolan. Jeb was only ten years old when the Votans arrived and he served in the military during the war. With the war now over, he returns to his hometown of St Louis to find it's is no longer the city he left; it is little more than refugee camp. Deciding his services are needed, Jeb takes up a position as the Chief Lawkeeper in Defiance, so he can protect the town from dangerous clashes between humans, aliens, military scavengers and other dangerous visitors who occasionally enter the town

Defiance is brilliant! Such a strongly crafted, acted and written series. I'll definitely be catching Dracula, Tomorrows People, The Originals, Star Crossed, Once Upon A Time In Wonderland, Shield  and The 100 when they air in the Fall/Winter.

Hmm, you forgot Almost Human. That looks promising also.

The Originals

Defiance

BBC's White Queen

Reign

Vikings

Sleepy Hollow

... will all probably have a longer standing on aired.

Star Cross . . . uhm ew. It has Nick Lachey too. (Did I spell that right? And isn't he irrelevant now a days? I guess they're using him to get BSB to get relevant this year or something.)

Dracula might flop... Too many Draculas and Vampires coming out, its becoming Saturated. STOP!

The Tomorrow's People . . . hmmm that might be a remake/US version of Misfits (Go ASBO5.) People might like it.

I'll be anticipating Vikings, White Queen (I like almost all BBC's shows,) Defiance, Almost Human, and of course, Sleepy Hollow (Cuz, Tom Minson is hot and smexy.) The Reign (If they get the accent right, cuz If not I'll drop this like a hot potato,) along with Dracula, I'll see if I like it.  The Tomorrow's People could be a remake or revision of Misfits so I'll see if I like it or not too. Might watch it if its somewhat closely related to it. I won't be watching the Originals cuz it's like Vampire's Diary. And I gave it up after Eps.1. But I'm sure fans of VD will like it.

Thanks to the Game of Thrones TV networks are now ready to spend bigger budgets on fantasy and medieval series!

Dracula looks the weakest. But the leading actor is Jonathan Rhys Myers. This fact can save the whole show.

Not sure if I will watch any of these, as I will still be following GoT, The WD and Sherlock.

I plan on watching Defiance just so I can complain about how poorly they re-made St. Louis. I can't believe they didn't even come here to see what our city really looks like.

Once Upon a Time also looks really good. The trailer for the new series looks really good.

Also, everyone needs to watch Futurama. It's not a new show, but y'all better save it from failing!

Nooo...why do they keep pushing it back? (._.)

I think when BBC casted Benedict and Martin they didn't expect the two to become so damn popular with Hollywood producers. Both have huge movies to promote. And Martin has to go back to New Zealand for Hobbit pick-ups now.
