I don't think SM would waste them by not debuting them in Japan, although I don't want them to.

Knowing SM, they probably will. but I don't know, I kinda don't want them to

Why don't you want them to debut in Japan and have Japanese material?

I think they will, just not any time time soon. Its where the money is after all,

SM will make sure they are relatively established in SK and China (which is their initial target) before moving on to Japan and rest of the world.

I do not want them to

I don't know, I just don't like the idea. And how I've seen some groups were kinda declined in Korea after venturing in Japan.

And this too..

But I want them to focus on China before going to japan.

This year, they barely promoted in China.

How bizarre. I would think that Exo fans would want Exo to expand and try their luck at different markets. I'm fascinated by the idea of them debuting in Japan and singing songs written by Japanese writers for the Japanese public. I think they'd be well embraced by Japan and everyone wins. They make more money, we get more material.

Fans usually don't like Japan because you rarely get pictures, fancams, performances, variety shows etc. from there. It's like a black hole, specially if compared to the amount of material you would get in Korea or just Asia in general.

Basically they like to be "spoiled".

I don't think they will. SM won't start promoting them in any other country, but China and Korea, in till they get a firm establishment there. By that time Hallyu will be completely dead in japan, it pretty much is now, them "debuting" there would be pointless.

I don't know to me is seems like SM can barely focus on China and Korea equally as it is, and they have a Chinese-Korean group

then comes how the group will be set up (OT12, new OT6)

I want SM to focus more on China before they start trying to focus on Japan

And personally I don't really care if they have Japanese material or not, the only Japanese music I listen to is Jrock, I really don't care that much about Jpop

That stuff is great and all but I'm just thinking about the music. Sure, people wouldn't be able to easily download it online (they'd have to actually buy the albums! *gasp), or get tons of cams and daily performances, but I'd think that the new Japanese records would be a big pro and override all of that. It certainly would for me. I guess that's not the main focus for some Exo fans.
