Or if you're older than them, would you ask them to write [yourname]-noona/oppa/etc when they sign your stuff? I know I'd be too embarrassed to ever call Xiumin oppa. & I wouldn't ask the younger ones to sign it with noona/unni unless they directly asked (like Baekhyun below). Plus as an American who respects other cultures....there's just lines you don't cross when you don't know someone. Calling someone "oppa" or any other culture bound/familiar name when I'm not even of Korean descent is like wearing an Native American headpiece to Coachella. Not kosher. If I were to immerse myself in Korean culture and lifestyle (by moving to Korea and living and working there full time), to the point where I'm completely assimilated, then I may like being called unnie/noona, and I may refer to my idols as oppa/unnie. I'm not fluent so i'm not 100%, but I think it's "chingu"? from google: Being the same age in Korea means you’re equals, and you’ll be instantly labeled a friend. It doesn’t matter if you’re a really nasty person and the Korean person you just met seriously hates your guts.
