I know Youtube views aren't everything, but the 1 million mark is a tried-and-true reflection of a group's overall standing. Real nugu groups never reach that amount no matter how many years the MV has been out, and joining the 1 million club means a group has at least carved out its own little space in the world.

I love Suhyun's personality. She is someone everyone in the team can make fun of and makes the broadcasts fun

Plus we can be sure she is a sincere person from the way she makes friends so easily. Not fake, not too concerned with her image, and willing to make fun of herself. That's why she's one of my ultimate favs!

 

Suhyun seems like the airhead-easygoing type, nowadays its called 'beagle' ?

 

While tbh, chaeky and haein seems to look more 'awkward' / keeping image

 

I wouldn't say 'awkward'. It's just 'reserved', 'quiet' or 'shy'.

I think it is the same thing. Which is surprising to me because with all those trainees starring in the drama already, i never thought there would be space for even more characters, and played by outsiders at that. I've been following [email protected]'s official thread here.

No worries, no one here will be offended by this question haha.

 

IBI doesn't have a set time-frame. It was formed for the fans, and it could possibly continue as long as the fans show interest, and as long as each of their agencies LOEN, DSP, Star Planet & Music Works can agree to allow the girls to appear as IBI, especially after they each debut under their own permanent groups.

From what has been shared, i think the girls were having a heart-to-heart chat about their shared struggle with trainee life and trainee debt. The thing about IBI is that they're all older than the idol average, so they're wiser and not naive about the reality of BUSINESS anymore.

 

And probably all those retweets are people understanding their pain and sympathising with them

Suhyun still got one or two years to make it as an idol but for Haein I agree, I think she's gonna miss the girl group train if no opportunity presents itself for her. Really harsh world

 

I wouldn't worry too much about that, cos Suhyun & Haein are a package, i'd bet Suhyun would demand for Haein to be with her no matter what happens

Production of Hello IBI couldn't have been cheap for JTBC especially considering it was filmed overseas.

 

I just hope that the viewership was enough to make the show profitable for them, so that maybe we'll have a chance at a second season! 

 

There definitely are many people who like these 5 together that's why IBI was formed with exactly these 5 girls in the first place. The girls even mentioned in Hello ibi episode 4 during their "adult party" in the boat that they were surprised that the fans imagined the 5 of them as a group after produce 101 ended. And at that time they were thinking if only it could be true which somehow did became a reality which is also why there were also very thankful to the fans.

I think we've seen Chaekyung & Haein's relationship deepen a lot in the course of their Thailand trip. Like Sohee said that time, Chaeky wasn't so close to Haein & Hyeri before, but i think they're real friends now

With correction, the ranking should be 

1. Sohee - 34.2

2. Haein - 29.2

3. Suhyun - 24.2

4. Chaekyung - 22.8

5. Hyeri - 19.2

Really wish the eng subs for all of the hello ibi episodes are available soon so that more people can watch it and get to know more abt these girls especially how ibi actually came about in terms of why these five girls as the members and the struggles they had even when they manage to finally be together as ibi.

Nope, but I am able to understand Chinese so watching the Chinese subbed I was able to understand what they said during the show. Would have translate the Chinese sub to English if I had the time but these few months have been too busy at work to have the time to do that.

 

I know chinese also (i'm from Singapore), but i'm too lazy to watch the chinese sub cos my fluency is terrible 

 

Anyway those chinese subbers are amazing fast, have they completed Ep 6?

Sometimes i can't help but wonder why loen ent isn't vigorously promoting I.B.I.

Is it that they are considering that by avoiding vigorously doing so while I.O.I is still active, it will prevent/minimize generating fans' hate to the girls because they are afterall not the 11 winners  from produce101 and it won't make sense that I.B.I gets the good end of the deal as oppose to I.O.I that's suppose to be getting all the winner's benefit?

 

That could be one thing, and also Mnet's influence might play a part.

 

And i think that as a project group involving four companies, the legal rights aspect must be very complicated, which inevitably would strictly limit what they can do as IBI. For example one single, one MV, one showcase, one v-live, one guerilla live, one variety show, etc. all must be agreed upon beforehand by all parties. So it's much harder to be active than a normal group

if April's comeback isn't in December, then the earliest possible comeback if any would be december. And of cos the most important factor would be whether loen wants to schedule one before this year ends. Which I feel they are waiting for I.o.I's activities to officially end(1 year duration) before kickstarting any ibi activities.

 

I don't think IBI could possibly comeback this Dec though, because Chaekyung is full-time preparing for April's comeback early next year. Other than the usual learning the new songs & choreo, photoshoots, filming and recording, she also has to catch up and learn all of April's past repertoire asap    and from Jinsol's recent v-live, it seems she still has a way to go 

 

The earliest IBI comeback i can foresee is mid-2017, assuming OMZM is also on break by that time and the other 3 aren't preparing for/in the midst of any promotions.

Yup, IBI are still a group, they have no deadline for disbandment unlike IOI. Some fans thought they were being formed for only 1 release, but the fact is LOEN who is managing them never stated how long they'll be together, so it's indefinite 

But, we don't know whether they'll be able to have a cb or even activities together in the future, it all depends on their companies 

The last thing they've done together (that we know of) is their travel reality show Hello IBI.

 

May I know more about this red queen thing?

 

There's this upcoming idol group/drama hybrid based on the Japanese anime/game franchise Idolm@ster, called [email protected] - you can check out the official thread here. 

 

Red Queen is/will be a rival girl group in the drama, comprising Hyeri, After School's Kaeun, Nine Muses' Sojin and Tahiti's Ari. It looks like they've already begun activities together!

 

Edit: oh yeah i had forgotten, filming for the series started yesterday, so that stage and outfits in the photos must be from the filming set. The first episode probably features Red Queen!
