Means that, lets say me

 

I can request CAF for say, 'IBI custom badge', and the said custom badge can then be bought via marketplace.

As the awards season is over, the CAF request is reopened.

 

As for the normal IBI badge itself, still no news on that.

 

Conclusion : I can request IBI via CAF. After it's out already, if I have enough won and stock available, I can buy it and use it.

 

Am i right?

In short, there are 2 kinds of 'requests'.

 

1) Request for badges to be added to your user profile. This applies to all users, and is based on post-count. No wons needed. You can only request to get badges that are already in the system.  

 

2) Request for new badges to be added to the system. For example, for newly debuted artists like IBI. Someone needs to buy a Custom Award Form (CAF) for 250,000 won in the marketplace, then submit the form to the admins, then they will add the badge to the system, for everyone to request in future. Most often, the choice of badge image will be made democratically in a voting thread, which we have already done.

 

Q: so, why are CAFs so expensive? This is so that only members with a certain level of seniority on this site, who have earned enough wons through posting (or other means) can request for a new badge to be added to the system. I guess the admins need to put in a lot of work for that, so they don't want people frivolously requesting.

Since this is actually IBI thread I'll use IBI as study case

 

> CAF for IBI group = 250k

> CAF for sohee , chaekyung , hyeri, suhyun, haein = 1500k

> Total won needed for complete IBI set : 1750k

 

Of course, anyone with enough won can basically request CAF, so if there are 6 users with at least 250k each , they can each request for IBI - sohee - chae - hyeri - suhyun - haein

You're mostly correct, except you made a mathematical error:

CAFs for the 5 members = 250k x 5 = 1250k

Total = 6 CAFs = 1500k

It's Jjaektler (Jjaek + (Hi)tler). And also, one of the haein nicks is Haetler (Haein + (Hi)tler)... I'm still not sure if this is funny or not

The last i heard from Tzuream, who is in charge of requesting the group badge, he/she hasn't submitted the CAF yet. 

 

From what i know, at least 2 member badges have been requested: Suhyun (by Kim Kardashashasha) and Chaekyung (by me) but the awards team staff told me they'll be put on hold until the group badge is requested.

 

Actually even if Tzuream has already submitted the CAF, it must have been very recently, so the awards team will take a while to process it. Let's be patient

IBI isn't permanent but they have an indefinite lifespan, unlike IOI. Theoretically they can keep getting back together as long as there's interest.

It's far cheaper than a CAF, i think it's only 25k won.

 

Right now the MRFs are deactivated because of all the new awards being requested, the team wants to concentrate on those first.

 

And the ultimate: single albums cannot be requested (only mini's and above), so too bad for IBI and CIVA

Since AFAIK the formation (from viewer's POV) is sohee chae hyeri suhyun haein

 

Their management has been very fair with them so far (because they have to please their respective agencies? lol) and rotating the center position every time, from photo to photo and in the MV.

 

But your formation is based on the classic QuickPichJjekPoonHaen, so in a sense Hyeri is the center of that haha.

This took place yesterday? It's strange that we didn't get fan photos of them traveling to the event first. Or maybe it just wasn't posted here?

 

Just to add my two cents' to the discussion, ITSP is a dance song while WTCBF is a standing ballad. So for WTCBF it's possible to simply use the instrumental track (which by the way is always produced before the vocal version for any song). However when idols dance and sing at the same time their voices often crack or lose breath, so a backtrack is essential, which means the performers will have to record it in a studio. And i suspect the rights holder of ITSP (Mnet) doesn't want an alternative studio recorded version to exist anywhere other than the officially released one, or at least any not under their control, so they're the ones blocking it.

 

Edit: but yeah Seopies i agree with you, WTCBF would be a better choice for these festivals/events to showcase the members' talents. I guess the organizers/agencies prefer dance songs over ballads?
