I believe they can stay on as a project group. some other agency can just take over to manage them should loen decide to not manage this project group in the future. Especially if IBI make it big then all the more I don't see why any agency would be dumb so as not to snap up this opportunity to manage them to make more money with this project group.

 

Now that LOEN signed Poon and Haen, i don't think they'd be so eager to stop managing IBI either haha

Wow, so many pages. I'm surprised and pleased to see there are many other IBI fans carried over from the PD101 days. 

All in all, that show has been rather wonderful for most girls in the top 22 it seems. Anyways, I haven't been by in a few days and the pages jumped, i've been relying on twitter for my I.B.I news and sources, forgot I could stop by here. LOL

 

Been watching the MV daily, several times, just cuz! It's nice these girls got their shot, and so nice they got to get together. I was talking friends how I wanted a group Haein and Hyeri and Sohee together the most (they took most of my votes after we were down from voting 11 to 1 a day). It's even crazier that all I.B.I are among my faves of PD101, and they got their own group. kpop-gods are mysterious sometimes. 

 

Prolly posted several times before, but just flashback to their pd101 days. I.B.I was a thing, before Loen even made them a thing. =)

I guess this might be real because i just saw this article by allkpop about there is really going to be SNL Korea 8 which will air on Sept 3. But of cos whether IBI will be involved, we won't know till more information is available.

Someone in the thread that was created about this SNL appearance said the video teaser was actually a spoof, and it seems that they were right because the video wasn't on an official channel, and they claimed SNL season 8 will only start next year.

 

Now it seems season 8 is starting soon enough for IBI to join, but we still don't know whether the uploader has some legit info or not. Still, here's hoping our girls actually get invited to the show!

Not sure about that. But the video teaser you posted, if you noticed at 0:17 mark it did state the exact same date which is 3rd sept (same as what the article in allkpop mentioned) and the video didn't mention anything about the year so not sure how would they actually claim its next year when sept for this year 2016 hasn't even gone past lol.. but nonetheless let's just wish IBI gets to be on it

 

Wow yeah with the date stated in the video, it's now most likely that it's legit!

Edit: @0:16 in the video, IBI is labelled as the 'hosts'. But the AKP article said Minah will be the host, and that there won't be a 'crew show'. So i dunno again, i guess the uploader could have found out SNL 8's start date, and created this 'teaser' as a fan-made thing? Let's wait for more info...

Guys don't you think it's really weird that The Show (music show on Tues) last week played a teaser clip for IBI, but ended up not having them on this week's broadcast?

 

I think that's the one thing bugging me most now

I guess maybe Loen only had in mind for them to appear in any music show they can fit them into for just the first week of their debut to do any promotion of IBI.

 

You may be right, of course, but i personally prefer to think that it's the TV networks that weren't keen on having IBI do a regular promotion cycle on their shows, not LOEN's decision. 

 

Because after all the effort and cost spent on their pre-release content, i doesn't make sense to self-limit the amount of exposure the actual song gets. Whereas, the TV networks might not be taking IBI seriously, and we know that it's not as simple as paying money that gets acts onto the shows.

actually, we like that song so much cos the 7girls On Top at that time was attacked by the Avenger group with a massive popularity compare to them but they still stand strong together and did their best to against them. that is really touched, emotion, sympathy and  memorable.

 

To me the entire draw of Produce 101 was about rooting for the underdogs and making impossible dreams come true. I believe most IOI fans are so crazy about IOI because of this fairytale story that they brought to life, and i'm certain all of us IBI fans know exactly what the pain and pleasure of supporting underdogs is like... 

 

ITSP / Girls On Top was like an icon of this struggle. They were the little underdogs that delivered true magic with spunk, confidence and fire, even when going up against real popularity monsters.

I am Still trying to find any fan cam of the full performance of ITSP of that day.

 

Most prob because ITSP was released in the 35girls 5 concept album which means not just Mnet but also the composer and the 7 girls respective company might also have a say in it if someone wants to use the song and record over it for more than just personal use. Even the remix version which IOI sang, you can clearly still hear the original 7 voices even if they try to lower the voices haha

Is IBI going to be a permanent group??? Please say yes. They were probably some of my favorites on pd101 and I love them together

 

Permanent, nearly impossible because they're still under their respective agencies, who don't seem ready to give up these assets anytime soon.

 

But as for how long we'll actually be able to see them together, that's still something to look forward to. Right now it's one piece of news at a time, like how a few days back when we all thought they were done with IBI for good, *BAM* the news about their reality show came out. So keep your hopes up, they could be together for a while as long as interest exists

I doubt they'll do a Hello Venus thing since it ends up being pretty complicated (think of how popular HV could be right now considering how well they were doing before Pledis took their girls back...)

 

However, I think they've left it open enough that they can just remain a project group if the companies think its worthwhile. Since the time frame of them being a project group isn't as defined as I.O.I's, they could in theory just remain a side project group even when they do debut with their relative groups (meaning they would have their main groups but occasionally if the groups are inactive they can have I.B.I comebacks). 

 

But this is just my super hopeful wishing tbh! Idk if Loen would even want to continue I.B.I for that long (although I.B.I did actually really well, like better than the groups debuting with I.O.I members and they actually seem to be doing better than a lot of Loen's other groups, like tbh the only massively popular idol from Loen anyone can think of is IU not counting their subsidiaries but they managed to chart pretty high for a project group with minimal build up/promotion). 

 

A more realistic hope I have is for a few more comebacks.

A question here, is IBI's badge still not up ?

 

I'm stil new to OH so yeah, dont really know that much about new badges approval/submission mechanism and such

 

The awards team haven't fully ended awards season yet it seems, so new badge approvals are still suspended, along with CAF availability in the store.

 

I'm kind of freaking out about this:

This is the first ranking from p101 (im watching the show fully for the first time) 

 

Their first rankings are extremely close to their final ranks. Hyeri's first rank is exactly the same as her final rank.

 

Yeah these few girls consistently hovered around the 10-20 rank mark throughout the show, which is part of the reason why netizens lumped them together into IBI the imaginary group 

 

Edit: ok after looking at the rankings again, carefully, i realise that's not really true except for Chaekyung lol. Sohee & Hyeri were mostly closely ranked with Chaekyung other than a few episodes where they dipped a bit then recovered, and Suhyun and Haein had rather terrifying swings in popularity, managing to scrape past elimination each time and have an honestly miraculous rise at the end

Wasnt sohee suhyun haein around 20-30 at the first eval (ep 5) ? And chaekyung was around 30ish iirc

 

But after ITSP (which is my fav song from pd101, #2 is WCBF lol) they all made a leap

 

No, Chaekyung was 15, 14, 15, 21, 20, 15, 7, 16

 

Sohee: 13, 17, 24, 23, 30, 22, 6, 15

 

Hyeri: 12, 16, 18, 22, 23, 16, 8, 12

 

Suhyun: 14, 23, 25, 32, 33, 35, 22, 13 (that's why they call her the Phoenix  )

 

Haein: 19, 27, 34, 40, 19, 14, 14, 17

 

ITSP is my ultimate fav of the show too!

The leap made by CK, Sohee & Hyeri was partly because of the bonus points though, and the glow didn't last until the final episode, sadly.

 

I would say this video play quite a big part in the fans deciding on the 5 girls.
