Do female idols get more slack´/hate for things compared to male idols?

The Sunggyu(Infinte) thread about bullying had a lot of commentaries that regarded the fact that stuff regarding male idols are easily dismissed or looked upon differently in comparison to female idols, who would've gotten hate if things unfolded in a rather similar set.

Do you feel like female idols are more prone to get hate than male idols? Why?

I guess it depends on what is the issue but society is general tends to be harsher towards females for some things they are lenient if males do.

In example, women get slut shamed for cheating and stuff like that and men who sleep around/cheat can be praised or people excuse shitty behavior with "boys will be boys"

The double standards for slut shaming and the witch hunt for "bad attitude" facial expressions are real, and that's something male idols don't suffer from, so from that, they get more hate.

The other side of the coin is they get more shielded because their fangirls default to "if it was a male idol" "but she suffers sexism" "support women no matter what" mentality which is pretty hypocritical considering these people don't want to hold girls accountable out of pity because they see them as poor helpless victims/delicate and in need of protection instead of people.

No they don't lmao. It only feels like it because they, in general, have a wider appeal and the GP is more critical of petty stuff but when you have someone like that GsD member making plain as day xenophobic comments and not getting 10% of the criticism a male idol would get for implying they prefer a certain skin tone, it sure as fuck shows that the "Poor bullied unnir!!!1111!!1" narrative is just fallacious.
