Plus there's little expenditure as they don't have to spend on making music/cds/touring like they do with Taeyeon. If Taeyeon was able to tour on a bigger scale then I think she could be but for now no. But I do agree that she is their "image of success" and she also offers them some legitimacy due to her talent (where as with Yoona it's very much debatable).
