Kubota Keiko of Kalafina and FictionJunction is an amazing contralto. She doesn't have a classical training background, but she has the most control over her voice within Kalafina.

She also doesn't use her higher register very often, but her regular chest voice and lower register are SO controlled, you'd think she's a bass sometimes.

I'll attach videos later, but if you want to look up yourself, check these songs out: Snow Falling, Symphonia, Ring Your Bell, Kagayaku Sora No Shijima Ni Wa, Fairytale, Oblivious, Signal. Preferably LIVE.

Angela Aki and Chitose Hajime are rarely heard of nowadays, but they were really good back in the day, specially Hajime with that "signature" singing style.
