Second CF: Game Carrot Fantasy

It is said Jackson also recorded a song for this CF.

Both CFs were just filmed so they aren't released yet.

This year is a great year for Jackson. It looks like he's the first idol from JYPE who was on so many Chinese shows on the same year and got solo cfs. He's also second most followed idol from JYPE on weibo at the moment!

Jackson's shows in China this year: Go Fridge S2, Fresh Sunday, Fighting Man < Jackson is a fixed cast/MC

Are you normal?, The students come, Crime Scene < appearances

A show on CCTV is also planned (national TV)

Jackson deserves it. Congrats!!!

The Chinese market is a way better than the Korean one, so I'm happy that he's doing so well there. Sooner, I hope he becomes the 1st Chinese male solo from JYP.

Nah. It's just better for Jackson and other Chinese Koop idols. And the caption there mentioned Jackson. As an energetic boy who love his country very much which is China. Haha I wonder what the hong kongers think

I think his HK fans got used to it and know that you can't become famous in China unless you do the things Jackson does.

And his main fanbase is in China. I'm not sure how known he is in HK but he has never had a solo activity there. I also remember seeing a short cut from a HK radio where a guy was shocked that Jackson was from HK.

I'm pretty sure if you are popular in China, your popularity in Hong Kong wouldn't be anywhere less. And Jackson has more Thai fans than Chinese fans. But if he continues to be active in China, his main fan base would be in China for sure. But that's only him, not got7. It's great too because his popularity can help got7 popularity in china

I see. All I know is that his Chinese fanbase is the most dedicated. They vote for him, promote him. They're the most hard-working.

True also. But Chinese can't do much because they are restricted to lots of things. It's good they can get best of both world

Jackson was an athlete who represented China and not Hong Kong, so I think his image is still associated with the image of an athlete that represents his country.

By saying that Chinese market is better for Jackson, I meant that for his solo activities, it's better to invest in the Chinese market, bc I think we've already noticed that no matter how hard working a Chinese artist is on Korean market, one slip up and knetizens will forget all the praises once they've written to the artist and will bash the idol non-stop. There's a big prejudice against Chinese people in Korea.

about GOT7 popularity in China... I expected that JYP would negociate Jackson's participation in C-variety shows with some GOT7 attendances to these variety shows, just like YG and SM do, but JYP seem to not be interested in doing the same.

if Jackson becomes more popular than GOT7? I've never seen SM promoting only 1 member of a group in China, before assuring that the group would be relevant in China or have a considerable fandom there. I feel that Jackson will become a really popular artist in China considering how well he's doing (what'll be great for him), but if he becomes too big and GOT7 could not catch up with his popularity in China? I don't want a Miss A Chinese version happening.  Better JYP manage it well, and I'll not worry about it now.

Well if Jackson got into controversy between Hong Kong and China, his career will be done too but I doubt it will happen. And Jackson said himself his in Hong Kong national fencing team not China.

Yes, the main puropse from JYPE  is promoting Got7 Jackson in Mainland China and then make other members or groups to have chance into Mainland China.   It's because the group of SM TOWN is very successful and earn a lot of money in China.

Jackson represented HK as an athlete. HK have their own flag and own athletes. They don't represent China even though Hong Kong belongs to China.

JYP feels more comfortable promoting their idols in Japan, Thai and SEA countries. He's not a big fan of Chinese market. Some of his artists have promoted in China and have got some solo activities there, it was never a massive promo like SM and YG do.

GOT7 members never appeared in any variety show that Jackson was the MC, and believe that if it was SM, GOT7 would have been in all of them.

If JYP is really aiming for the C-market bc of the money (as you are claiming he's doing), so it's about time to change his strategies and assure GOT7 to be on more C-variety shows.

I just remember that Go Fridge chefs and staff were the ones that promoted GOT7 concert on their weibo, and they've traveled to Korea to attend GOT7 concert - they did more than JYP marketing crew.

really?

but they always say that Jackson was a national representative of fencing. I remember watching him/people saying he was a national representative on that episode of cool kiz on the block and weekly idol. And he also participated in the Asian Junior Fencing championship.... I'm confused, so he was not a national, but a Hong Kong representative?

Jackson is very proud  to represent Hong Kong as an Hong Kong nation athlete. He often shows to everyone  "Hong Kong 852" whatever instagram , printed on snackback or Tee.  You will find that all are 852.  He's still keeping his national TEE which was represented fencing team in the past.

They are both China's team. But Hong Kong has its own team.

"Hong Kong is represented separately at the Olympics by its own choice (for any gold medal ceremony the Hong Kong SAR flag is raised and the PRC national anthem is played). As permitted under its constitution as agreed upon handover from the United Kingdom (specifically, Article 151, Chapter 7 of The Basic Law), it "may, on its own, ... maintain and develop relations and conclude and implement agreements with foreign states and regions and relevant international organizations in the appropriate fields, including the economic, trade, financial and monetary, shipping, communications, tourism, cultural and sports fields." wiki and  http://www.basiclaw.gov.hk/en/basiclawtext/chapter_7.html

"No one" is really few people. GOT7 will have a concert in Hong Kong by next week, and unless all tickets were sold to people who don't live in Hong Kong, there'll be some hundred people who know and care for Jackson attending the concert. The last time I've checked in early June, most of sections were sold out.

Jackson is not promoting in HK TVs, so maybe he's not popular among the general public, but I bet KPOP fans know him, especially after MAMA awards using his image and GOT7 image so much last year to promote the ceremony award.

Well Twice is not promoting in Taiwan either but Tsuyu is super well known in her homeland so Jackson is really a nobody in the city, and he is not even likable to kpop fans.
