Happy 1st Anniversary, Me Gustas Tu!

It is one year since the fateful day, 23rd July 2015.
The first ever idol group song to chart passed one year in Gaon and Melon (consecutively), Me Gustas Tu.
The song got 1.8 million+ downloads and 99 million+ streams until now.
It started well and got #1 in Mnet, Genie, and Olleh in the first day.
It also peaked at #2 in Soribada and Bugs, #4 in Naver, #5 in Monkey3, and #19 in Melon in the first day.
And it continues to chart in all digital music charts until now.
Let's see Me Gustas Tu charting in GAON chart and the stories behind it.
#1 - After a successful debut with Glass Bead, GFriend gained attention with their next release and it is well-received in the first few weeks.
#2 - The fateful day comes. GFriend slipping video while performing on a stage in an event went viral. Started by the Australian medias, the video went viral and several prominent news sites in the U.S. and the U.K. and all over the world reported it. Me Gustas Tu peaked at #8 in Gaon and #5 in Melon.
#3 - GFriend won their first ever award, Best Female Rookie in Melon Music Awards (went to won 27 more awards to date). This caused Me Gustas Tu to rise again.
#4 - GFriend is one of the artists that went to all year-end shows (KBS, MBC, SBS) and this garnered them some attentions and Me Gustas Tu rise again after the impressive stages. GFriend also won several rookie awards at these periods.
#5 - GFriend made a comeback with Rough and both of their previous title songs (Me Gustas Tu and Glass Bead) got some affect from Rough's release. Me Gustas Tu broke Top 10 again in Melon and Glass Bead stayed in Top 100 for 6 to 7 more weeks.
#6 - The song went down slowly after the impressive chartings but managed to rise back after the release of Navillera, GFriend's 4th title song.
Me Gustas Tu has created an amazing story and journey. The song got into record book here and there and left some impact in the industry. For instance, It is the most covered song in concerts and tours by artists this year. The song was also used by South Korean government. We can say that it is the latest song that everyone and their mothers know in South Korea.
