I would have loved to see Seohyun on a variety show with lots of other stars, something like Roommates, but too bad it was canceled (then again it was kind of a mess). But I want a show like that for Seohyun where she can interact with other celebrities of different backgrounds, not just idols and where she can show off her charms and personality.

I think it's fairly obvious that #4 won for Seohyun's final badge voting, and while I'm not exactly ecstatic in regards to the results, I still want it to be the best possible badge we can get. So I was thinking of submitting this new crop/edit of the badge for the crop voting round.

 

I lightened the colors and increased the brightness; I also made it sharper.
I zoomed in closer to her face/centered it more and made her skin look less pink.
 

I think you can see the difference better in the 65x65 version:

 

The increased zoom makes her features (eyes and nose especially) more visible imo.

Can we all vote for 1 or 2 - they are brighter and stand out more; whereas the rest are too muted.

I agree, I don't like 3, 4 and 5, because her face looks too pale there, her skin almost looks gray. I voted for #1 because when I made #2 I over-saturated it and the hue made her face kind of pinkish. Also #2 isn't really centered, it's leaning too far on the left side.

 

If you guys decide on which badge to vote for (1 or 2), I'll change my vote accordingly.

If the predictions are correct and Seohyun's SM Station is coming out before KCON LA (July 29-31), that means it should be out next Friday, otherwise it would have to be released the exact day or the day before KCON (depending on the time zone), and I don't want that. I want there to have been some anticipation for it and so people will have heard it long enough to be able to know how it sounds. I'd be annoyed if it came out after KCON because Seohyun will look like a 3rd wheel next to Taeny's solos.

I'm so excited about her solo, this is what I've been waiting for so long. Finally!!! I just returned from a trip (for a couple of weeks), unable to connect to the Internet. And what I find when I come back? SEOSOLO   I am just getting used to the idea that this is happening for real.

Here's an article from Kpopalypse about stage presence, what it is and why it actually has no importance at all in the world of K-pop. I don't really like to read from his website because he can be a little too crude (even for me), but I do find myself agreeing with him often. And this is one of those instances. He gives a thorough explanation of what stage presence is, what K-pop fans often mistake as "stage presence", and why no female K-pop idols have it except for CL.

 

I'd love to link this article to every idiot who seems to think Seohyun has no "stage presence" while other idols apparently do. What's funny about this article is he even mentions musical theater and how it's important in musical theater to have stage presence to guide the audience and how stage actors are taught to exaggerate their movements and acting on stage since they're performing to a large audience where subtle details would be lost, unlike say viewers watching behind a screen where a camera can catch even the tiniest of details. Take note that this article was written in 2014 when Seohyun was only beginning to act in her first musical. Going by this assessment Seohyun probably has more semblance to actual stage presence than any other SNSD member simply because she's trained herself in musical theater unlike the other members.

Honestly some tend to often confuse Camera presence with stage presence tbh. post 2014 seohyun has had better stage presence than majority of the members. 

 

In simple always snatching camera spotlight & stage presence are two different things. 

I agree. And it's not like Seohyun can't do that either, she could be loud and exaggerate her actions to be "funny" if she wanted to, but she doesn't. It's not exactly difficult, all you have to do is put on a fun, offbeat persona and act larger than life and then you'll have a sea of fans shouting praises about how "unique" and "4-dimensional" you are. LOL

 

Do some fans really not see through this fakery? One of the reasons I stan Seohyun and why she's my ultimate bias is because she's always seemed genuine to me. I feel like I actually get to know her, and not some act she puts on (another thing people accuse her of doing, "acting innocent"). Of course for all I know I could be 100% wrong and Seohyun could be the complete opposite of what we actually think she's like (I seriously doubt it because that would make her the greatest actress of all time keeping up the same act for 10 years now), but I like to feel like I understand her as a person and not as a celebrity; it makes my experience as a fan feel more "intimate" for lack of a better word.

 

And honestly, thank God Seohyun isn't one of those idols that tries too hard to be funny or pull weird antics because I hate that. I've noticed most of my biases are of the more laid-back variety; Seohyun, Taeil, Kyungsoo, etc. are all known for being more reserved and I prefer those types of idols, it doesn't make me feel like they're hungry for screentime or attention. Idols that are the opposite completely turn me off.

Like what you said yes, just like Kyungsoo. Being once an Exo-l for 2 years, I notice that Kyungsoo don't seem to be hungry for attention and in fact seemed to be so shy around people maybe thats the reason why they're both my biases too.

lot of people tend to not use this coupon coz they don't know how to. 

So k seomates are collecting them (which are not expiring any time soon) so they can use them to stream seohyun's SM Sation song in Genie.

So people who don't use these coupons & usually let it expire without using them can send the info to k seomates. So it'l be used for a better course #Seolo.

Because she doesn't have the stage presence to pull off anything else.  At least with ballads you can get away with just making it about your vocals (which she has pretty solid vocals).  But anything else requires the person to own the stage which I've never ever seen Seohyun do.  She's not as massively awkward/void of varied emotion with her expressions as she used to be but I've not seen her do anything to make me expect anything but a ballad from her.

 

Maybe she'll surprise us though.

This is a genre where groups dance to tightly choreographed routines and where even the slightest details, like hand movements when singing, are planned beforehand. But apparently people think smiling at the camera, trying to eye-fuck the camera, and having "charisma" equates to stage presence.

 

I love how it's always a non-fan that seems to think they're experts on everything regarding Seohyun. Anyways I'm done wasting my time arguing with them, I'll just wait for Seohyun's solo so they can stfu with their stage presence crap.

Her makeup kinda look off...

She's beautiful it's given but the makeuo artist is ruining it somehow.

I agree, whoever did her makeup needs to go watch some makeup gurus on YouTube because they suck. They made her skin look all oily and it looks like they didn't even fill in or shape her eyebrows.

 

Agree. But it's not only her makeup in my opinion. Dress has this awkward sleeve length that I hate - neither short-sleeve, nor 3/4 sleeve - just something in between. I always have thought about my grandma when I see this kind of sleeve. To add on - middle parting hairstyle and undone eyebrows. Definitely off as a whole. 

It's a shame, 'cause she dresses herself so well on normal days - all these airport outfits or after-musical dresses were good and I liked most of them. But when she's going into the event there is sth "off" too often. And this is weird - I thought that her stylist helps her with shopping and airport fashion too. Is it a different person? I mean event stylisty and casual stylist? Do you know? 

 

EDIT: And one more thing - I don't know WHAT they're doing to her when she goes to China, but they always bring out her beauty the most. HOW?

The middle part needs to go, I hate them. They make you look older and they don't frame your face nicely, they also make your forehead look big. Seohyun's natural part on the side looks best; as does her natural, arched eyebrows. And I don't like the mid-length hair either, short hair or long hair is best imo. Mid-length hair makes you look like a business woman, and that outfit doesn't help.

Yes @SeoMania.... that's the same i found but i used in white background so there was no problem.... but you want to use it in black background?

No, I'm leaving it transparent but the forum I'm posting it to has an off-white, greyish background unlike here where the posting space is white, so I think it will show up if I don't fix it.

For real. LOL I know they're annoying but it's really just best to ignore them. If you feel the need to reply, at least be slick about it and throw shade at them or be sarcastic so it doesn't look like they're getting a rise out of you. Maintaining your composure and acting like they're stupid and need to be treated as such, works much better than replying to them with paragraphs about how they're wrong and a hater.
