Girl’s Generation (SNSD)’s Seohyun decided to donate 2.75 tons (~5,500 pounds) of rice to those in need. 

When the press conference was held last September for SBS drama Passionate Love fans had donated ‘rice wreaths′ to support Seo Hyun’s new drama through a company called Dreame.

Deciding to use the rice for good causes, Seo Hyun asked Dreame to give out the rice to various organizations, including the criminal victim support center, social welfare foundations, orphanages and more. The stock feeds were also donated to animal shelters.

The rice wreaths were sent over to the drama press conference by the SNSD member’s fans from Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia. 

SNSD’s fans have reportedly sent rice and stock feeds around fourteen times since January of 2010, even before the convenient rice donation system was established through Dreame.
