Neural Network 834
These k-netz have no shame at all. Bashing and cursing at chinese idols for supporting their country while their own ethnic korean idols working and getting money from chinese. These knetz also don't seem to realize that chinese idols, by supporting China's sentiment on SCS issue, not only defending themselves but also defending korean entertainament agencies and korean idols working in China, protecting them from getting public backlash in China. Lay and Victoria, as the most prominent SM representatives of chinese national, defending SM Entertainment and its korean artists (EXO, SNSD, SuJu, Yoona, Krystal, ...) asses from chinese hate machine. Fei and Jia, also chinese nationals, defending JYP Entertainment's ass from chinese hate machine. Cao Lu too. What would have happen if they hadn't voiced out their support? Not only they would have been dragged and oppressed for being not patriotic, but everyone else related to them including the agencies they represent, other artists working in China would have been dragged. So yeah, at least SEA fans have valid reasons to get mad at these chinese idols, but k-netz? in another news, some vietnamese fans of korean idols working in China not helping but harming their favs, posting controversial stuff. For example this vietnamese Yoona fan page instagram already getting backlash from chinese, and the latter are demanding Yoona to go to Vietnam: https://www.instagram.com/p/BH1mC_5AAh8/?taken-by=yoona_lim196 3,687 likes 2d yoona_lim196~Yoona is Korean ~Yoona isn't Chinese ~Yoona is very intelligent ~Yoona love Fans and her country ~Yoona won't do like Victoria (Fx) or Zhoumi ~Be like Yoona!! So pls don't spam her IG Chinese Fans!! I don't hate Chinese artist but I hope they will think clearly what are they doing!! ........................................................ #hoangsatruongsabelongtovietnam #ilovevietnam #hoangsa #truongsa #korean #korean #yoona #snsd #sone #antichina Many chinese are already commenting she doesn't look good, she looks like a peasant or slave, tell her go to Vietnam, etc. Way to mess up, vietnamese fan. hallah 8,441
the only reason that the vast majority of korean netizens are bashing chinese idols is because they just hate chinese in general. they relish in any opportunity to bash them, save victoria, who, up until now, has been their wonder child. but that doesn't mean that it's okay for chinese idols to voice their support for china in this case. i understand this is a complicated issue, but there are millions of people's livelihoods at stake here and by blindly supporting china, they're basically saying that they're okay with collateral damage. the problem is, the collateral damage here is people trying to take care of their families. if they're supporting it on social media not because they believe in it, but because they just want to make more money in the future, that's even worse. selling out other people's livelihoods just so you can line your already fat wallet. that's indefensible. exuberance 335
literally all they did was post a pic on social media..most of these idols are not very well known even in China. And for those of you who claim that their actions promote China's intentions, people that oppose it would not change their political views just by seeing a celebrity supporting it (at least no one with a brain would). I also agree with most of you guys that China is in the wrong and being stubborn and difficult af but no one will see me going around hating on these idols for just voicing their opinions (although Vic really shouldn't have double posted..) Chinese fishermen have nothing to lose and China claim the sea for oil, not for fishing.

Noone can help but himself. I understand very well the situation in that region (SCS islands), the harsh realities local residents and fishermen facing. Yes China is one big bully country with imperialistic ambitions. It has always been like that since Mongols united them and gave them their first pan-asian empire. Then Manchus. No matter whether there is communist or capitalist government residing in Beijing, China's imperialistic ambitions will never disappear. Just look at the term "Zhongguo" (The middle kingdom) - this reflects well china mindset - chinese think the world revolves around them. It has been like that for 5000 years. And you know what, I am actually for Inner Mongola, Tibet and Xinjiang gaining freedom (or maybe Inner Mongolia uniting with Mongolia). But right now in this thread I am talking about korean netizens hypocrisies. They condemn China and chinese idols but have no problem with korean idols making money off chinese. It's an act of hypocrisy. It shows they don't really care about SCS issue, locals' livelihoods etc. If they really cared for justice, they should be demanding everyone including their own korean artists to stop getting money from chinese, packing bags and leave China. But that is not happening. Because they are hypocrites. The same applies to some SEA fans btw
