I would apologize too if it means millions of dollars getting flushed with a COUNTRY WIDE ban of her new movie. You guys are forgetting this is China we are talking about... authoritarian regime.  Soldiers at your door putting your entire family in jail... China.  Life is great when China opens her doors to people and welcomes them to come in and make some money but you guys are going to to have to play by her rules even if you disagree with her.  So as long as people don't care about losing their businesses or getting blacklisted from the world's most populous and second most richest country in the world... by all means... be a freedom fighter and stand up for your beliefs and those of the "bullied" countries.  I use the term "bullied" tentatively because it really depends on from which side of the argument you are looking at.

Just saying, I do not agree with China at all... I am American. I don't like what the Chinese are doing with their ocean disputes but at the same time I really cannot stand this blatant hate and complete ignorance for what it's like for people stuck in the cross hairs of political disagreements that they do not understand.  If Tzuyu's controversy taught us anything, it's that it is not that simple.  China has their agenda and other countries also have their agendas.  You cannot look at a controversy especially politics with such a narrow minded viewpoint.  It's easy to hate China and hate that people have to apologize but they do it for a reason. Also all countries are nationalistic and people are going a bit too far saying China is being imperialistic.  I mean the controversy over the South China Sea has lasted since the 1940s. People have been bringing maps and arguing who has which part of the ocean for decades. I would like to talk more about this since I am a fan of history and international relations but a kpop site is not the place.

It's just not that simple guys.
